Study on the application of bioaugmentation to cold rolling wastewater

Abstract:Bioaugmentation technology,adding engineering microorganisms BP into the activated sludge treatment system,has been used for treating cold rolling wastewater.The results show that when the wastewater is continuously injected,SV30 of the activated sludge is adjusted to 20%,the best additive concentration of BP is 10 mg/L,HRT is 20 h,DO is 4.0 mg/L,the temperature is controlled at the range of 25 ℃ to 32 ℃,the removal rates of CODCr and ammonianitrogen are up to 91% and 95% respectively which are 16% and 5% higher respectively than that of the contrast group without adding BP.After the bioaugmentation technology using BP is applied to the wastewater treatment station of a cold rolling sheet plant,the effluent water quality runs steadily.Every index can meet the requirements of the First Grade Standard of Pollutant Discharge from Iron and Steel Works(GB 13456—1992).
