Abstract:Tourism economics is a new interdisciplinary between tourism and economics.There is a growing tendency to research tourism from the perspective of the economics in recent years.《Tourism Tribune》,《Tourism Science》,《Journal of Guilin Institute of Tourism》,《Tourism Research》are the four authoritative core magazines in tourism research area.Other six magazines,namely《Finance and Trade Economics》,《Nankai Economic Studies》,《on Economic Problems》,《Commercial Research》,《Productivity Research》,《Economic Geography》place an important position in our country’s economics research,and many theses are published in those above journals.This paper reviews the research progress of the ten magazines of tourism and economics from every aspect since 1980s,and clarifies from the eight aspects including literature review,development strategy and pattern,tourism environment and ecology,research theory and method,product and resource,regional tourism,tourism economic impact factors,tourism enterprise managing.This paper also conducts statistical analysis of those ten periodicals from different aspects of time distribution of papers,the geographical distribution of authors,the authors’work unit,research contents and methods,and sums up some successful experience of researching tourism economics.
