Research and Application of the Horizontal Multistage Fracture Technology

Abstract:The horizontal multistage fracture technology can increase pressure after the layer fracture completion to cause the sliding sleeve to move downward,and then close the lower layer to expose the second layer sand blasting circulation port and start the second layer fracture.thus achieving multilayer fracture of original production string.On the basis of introducing the key tool structure and performance of horizontal well staged fracture technology,the application of the technology was analyzed taking the 5-1 horizontal well as an example.The application shows that the segmentation of the technology is precise and the operation is convenient with desirable effects in developing low permeability reservoirs.It is suggested that further research should be done on design optimization of fracturing tool and single-trip staged fracture technology with packer isolation in horizontal holes.
