Abstract:During the period of Nanking Massacre,Chinese refugees endured the dual threat of extremely lack of food and suffering massacre all the time.When confronted with the dilemma of choosing food or death,people generally had complex mentality beyond all words.Moreover,someone weighed and hesitated between food and morality.On the whole,the charities,represented by the International Committee of the Nanking Security Zone,were the major provider of staple food for refugees,which reflects the inhuman behavior of Japanese invaders.
