Abstract:In the structure of the title salt, C6H9N2+ center dot C7H6NO2-, the 4-aminobenzoate anions are linked to adjacent anions and 2-amino-4-methylpyridinium cations via N - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. The crystal structure also shows a weak C - H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bond between adjacent anions. Within the 4-aminobenzoate anion, the carboxylate group is twisted by 14.0 (4)degrees with respect to the benzene ring.

Abstract:The title compound, C6H8N4S22+.C4H2O42-, consists of a diaminobithiazole (DABT) cation and a fumarate anion. The cation and anion are both located on inversion centers. Both ions display a planar configuration and link to each other through hydrogen bonding between carboxyl and amino groups, as well as through weak C-H...O hydrogen bonding between thiazole and carboxyl groups. The C-N(amino) bond distance of 1.323 (4) Angstrom suggests the existence of electron delocalization between the thiazole ring and the amino group.

Abstract:The title molecular complex, C(5)H(12)NO(2)S(+.)C(8)H(7)O(3)(-.)2C(8)H(8)O(3), contains (R)-methioninium cations, (R)-mandelate anions and (R)-mandelic acid molecules. The (R)-methioninium cation assumes an anti conformation for all of its single bonds. Hydrophilic and hydrophobic layers alternate in the crystal structure. Hydrogen-bond interactions and van der Waals contacts occur in the hydrophilic and hydrophobic layers, respectively.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The chemical formula of the title compound, 2C17H17N4+·2C7H5O5−·C17H16N4·2.94C4H8O2, was established by X-ray diffraction of a single-crystal obtained by reacting 1,3-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)propane (L) and gallic acid (HGal) in ethyl acetate. The molecular structure can be described as a salt (HL)+(Gal)− co-crystallized with a molecule L, with a stoichiometric relation of 2:1. Moreover, large voids in the crystal are filled with ethyl acetate, the amount of which was estimated by using a solvent mask during structure refinement, affording the chemical formula (HL+·Gal−)2·L·(C4H8O2)2.94. The arrangement of components in the crystal is driven by O—H...O, N—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds rather than by π–π or C—H...π interactions. In the crystal, molecules and ions shape the boundary of cylindrical tunnels parallel to [100] via R (rings) and D (discrete) supramolecular motifs. These voids, which account for about 28% of the unit-cell volume, contain disordered solvent molecules.
