Abstract:Applications of plant biotechnology play increasingly important role in solving food and energy crisis. As the world’s largest country by population, China pays special attention to the development of agricultural biotechnology and biomass energy technology. Several excellent review articles have introduced the research progress of China’s crop biotech and bioenergy. However, plant biotechnology in China has more diverse applications for non-food uses and environmental sustainability. This paper reviews the recent applications of plant biotechnology in bioenergy, biocontrol, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and phytoremediation of polluted environments. The emphasis is mainly focused on the bioconversion of biofuels especially bioethanol and the activated carbon, the survey of energy plants rich in hydrocarbons and carbohydrates, the biocontrol agents (plant epiphytic yeasts) and phytoremediation of heavy metal pollution and water eutrophication. Moreover, plant biotechnology shows very good efficacy in the identifications of confused medicinal plants, active constituents of TCM and the taxonomic identification of plant diseases and insects. The huge number of biomass residue and abundant plant resources provide vast application perspectives for China’s plant biotechnology. Abstract:The 21st century is an ecological civilization century,which requires people to construct a resource-saving and environment-friendly society in the near future. The ecological problems resulted by the application of modern agricultural technology have threatened the sustainable development of agriculture severely. The development of microbiological fertilizer could be connected with green organic food safety and environment protection,which display a vital role in the sustainable development of high-yield,high-quality,high-efficiency agriculture. In this paper,the microbiological fertilizer which should have enough amount of microorganisms has been showing special effect and other physiological function on plants. Now many kinds of microbiological fertilizer are used widely in the agricultural practice in China. The development history of microbiological fertilizer was also summarized here. The classification and main function of microbiological fertilizer was reviewed briefly. Some attentions and advices in the actual application of microbiological fertilizer were introduced. Some examples were cited to show the obvious effects of microbiological fertilizer in plants. Some hot problems related to microbiological fertilizer in the research and application are given in this paper. Also some measures for resolving the problems were raised. The tendencies of research and application in microbiological fertilizer are prospected. Finally,this paper emphasized the importance and necessity of microbiological fertilizer in Chinese agricultural developments.

In view of the fact that current food safety issues are still common, it is very important to do a good job in food safety testing. Biotech crop food is a product that can be directly consumed. In order to improve people’s trust in such products, scientific biotechnology testing methods can improve the efficiency and quality of food testing and ensure people eat food safely. This paper will analyze the basic types of food testing technology, and then introduce the application of several key detection technologies in biotech crop food testing, and discuss the shortcomings in current food testing, and do a brief overview of future development on the biotech crop food testing technology.
