Abstract:There is a great developing potential by using sequential color method to achieve color display.It has many good performances of low cost,high resolution and color effect.This paper introduces the field sequential color video controller for LCoS produced by Nankai University.Field sequential color(FSC) is used in this system to achieve the color display.And by using experiment and debug,the color display of the LCoS chip is realized.In this system,the video data are output in parallel,which reduces the work frequency of the whole controller system.The system makes use of two group of outer SRAM to buffer the frame data,and uses ping-pong operation of the SRAM to achieve the video display in series.The core of the controller is realized by a piece of FPGA.This paper discusses the method to achieve the data flow processing in the FPGA in detail: The FPGA adopts three shift registers,and the data are buffered in dynamic.The shift registers complete the serial-in-parallel-out data transform,which transform the RGB signal data into the RGB field signal data separately;By using the inner RAM of the FPGA,the interpolation operation of the image is achieved,which satisfies the requirement of the LCoS display.At last,some problems in the LCoS color display by FSC is introduced.
