DMA Data Transferring on PCI Bus Based on DSP

Abstract:Aimed at the requirement of high speed data transferring in data collection system,a new way of DMA data transferring on PCI bus by TI's DSP─TMS320DM642 is emphasized.The PCI interface characteristic of the fixed-point chip DM642 is introduced.And then the structure and flow of the master DMA transfer system is given,which is initiated under DM642 DSP control.Finally,the implementation of the PCI device driver under master DMA mode is given.Compared with the other methods for data transferring on PCI bus,the new way gains a good performance in data transferring on PCI bus with the less cost.
