Abstract:This paper presents a PCI Embedded Equipment,which has a digital signal processor as its local processor and a programmable logic device as a controller to deal with timing and address signals.This new kind of design can release the host CPU and greatly improve the ability to process the data.

Abstract:Based on advanced Microprocessors MPC8260 and real-time operating system VxWorks, a high-performance embedded computing control platfonn is proposed to meet the increased requirements of complexity and real time in intelligent control systems. DSP array and FPGA is also designed for high-speed parallel signal processing. This platfonn can be used in communication, intelligent robot, military aircrafts, radar and medical imaging instruments etc.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the design of hardware framework about DSP-based embedded License Plate Detection system including the detailed technology of circuit design among image sensor, DSP, Flash, SDRAM, timer and resetting. The program on license plate detection has been tested on the designed board, it run all right with natural light condition, and the location of license plate is accurate. The size and cost of the board are small, but it is fast and highly reliable.

Abstract:High performance PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) bridge IP (Intellectual Property) compliant with the PCI 2.2 specification is designed and two circuit structures with improved reusablity is proposed. Key techniques are analyzed. A verification platform of PCI protocol is built to facilitate performance tests including PCI compatibility. In order to ensure the correctness of the testing platform, a method of format examination is adopted to realize the correct description of PCI protocol.

Abstract:To meet embedded multimedia applications, a media-enhanced and reconfigurable RISC microprocessor is designed. Media-enhanced extension, pipeline controlling strategy, bypassing unit and exception handling are studied. By parameterized and module design, the microprocessor can be configured easily. The RISC core is simulated in Xilinx X2CV3000 FPGA successfully and an MPEG-4 AAC decoder based on the microprocessor has been implemented. The result shows that the core can be conveniently integrated into SoC.

Abstract:As high-real-time and reliability was required in ZDPS-2,multiple exclusive DMA modules were designed to work in parallel way for effective communication between CPU and all the peripherals by 54 serial interfaces.Experiments show that the time consumption on 54 interfaces between CPU and peripherals is reduced from 565 ms to 50 ms,and the sampling time difference among all sensors of ADCS is reduced from 33 ms to 6 ms.Special frame structure and linked-list-based DMA modules can meet the real-time requirement of 84 distributed-payloads,the data sampling rate on 84 distributed-payloads reaches 100 Hz,and the transmitting latency to the ground is less than 40 ms.Radiation-hardened and fault-tolerant designs were also applied to improve the reliability.

Abstract:In order to accelerate the speed of data transmission between DSP and Industrial Personal Computer(IPC), this paper uses PCI bus in IPC to implement high-speed data exchange between IPC and DSP by sharing dual-port RAM. This paper introduces the basic way of system design in detail, including PCI bus protocol, basic using method of PCI9052 chip and design key point, hardware connection technique and access protocol between PCI9052 and dual-port RAM, the design of Virtual Device Driver for Windows98.

Abstract:The digital signal processor(DSP) performances highly in data processing and was widely used in embedded equipment.As the core,it cooperates with lots of peripheral devices.The DSP chip has limited I/O ports and should focus on data processing,so a controller was designed utilizing complex programmable logic device(CPLD) to realize the coordinated control of peripheral resources,which accomplishes a data processing unit with data storage,communication and reset logic.This unit was applied to an ultrasonic converter to ensure its accurate sampling and data rapid processing.

Abstract:With the development of the computer technology and digital signal processing technology, virtual technology has become popular. Application of virtual technology in control domain is called virtual device. To verify the effect of the controller, on the basis of system model, the virtual device with approximate input-output characteristics is employed for the system's real-time simulation, achieving the aim of reducing on-spot debugging, enhancing controller's security and improving effect. This paper presents hardware and software designs of a virtual device using DSP chip-TMS320F240, TI Com. and verifies the simulation effect of virtual device through application example.

Abstract:Based on an ARM and DSP dual-processor embedded platform, we design a digital video recorder (DVR) which uses PCI bus interface. This paper realizes the development of BSP from scratch, the main achievements are the building of the development environment, the development of Bootloader and OAL, and ultimately compiled the eboot.nb0 and nk.nb0 running on the development board. The design of device driver and application program is introduced. This recorder can encode video streams and transfer them to the host in real time and store to local hard-disk. Thus it is convenient to complete the functions of remote monitoring system.

Abstract:A TMS320LF2407A-based serial communication system was developed to realize communications between digital signal processor(DSP) and other controllers.This system employed an Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter(UART) module and a Serial Peripheral Interface(SPI) module to connect the DSP to a host PC and a client display peripheral respectively.Detailed principle and method for hardware design were introduced;communication programs and relative software structure were given.Communication experiments showed that the system was simple in circuit design and stable and accurate in data transmission.It has reference value and practical benefit to exploit communications of DSP system.

Abstract:In order to adapt to the development of science and technology and the needs of society, cryptosystem is also developing towards high speed and high reliability. This paper adopts PCI-Express BUS to replace the traditional PCI BUS, because PCIE is a serial bus in the form of point-to-point, the scheme can avoid the timing out of sync problem when PCI Bus transmits data, the scheme can solve the problem of highspeed data transmission between FPGA and PC. This paper introduces the design of DMA asynchronous transmission scheme based on PCIE bus, and the effectiveness of this scheme is proved by the verification.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of TI' s stereo audio codec chip TLV320AIC23 and combining the applications of digital signal processing and embedded system, a hardware interface circuit consisting of TLV320AIC23, TI' s DSP chip TMS320VC5402 and Samsung' s ARM chip S3C4510B is designed. The interface control programming is accomplished through ARM' s I~2C interface. DSP exchanges data with AIC23 through its multichannel buffer serial port and accomplishes the processing of audio signal. This system is practicable in sound codec processing, voice recognition and sound controlling fields.

Abstract:A DVB receiving chip with PCI interface for PC is presented. The chip supports DVB protocols and integrates useful interfaces, including I 2 C, SmartCard and PCI. A card with this chip could change PC into digital TV terminal. The architecture of FPGA prototype system together with some main design issues is introduced. The experimental result shows that the chip could accomplish required functionalities.
