Abstract:We study a class of second-order neutral delay difference equations with positive and negative coefficientsDelta(r(n)(Delta(x(n) + px(n-m)))) + p(n)f(x(n-k)) - q(n)g(x(n-1)) = 0, n = n(0), n(0) + 1,...,where p is an element of R, rn,k,l, n(0) is an element of N, p(n), q(n), r(n) is an element of R+,f,g is an element of C(R, R) with x f (x) > 0 and xg(x) > 0 (x not equal 0). Some sufficient conditions for the existence of a nonoscillatory solution of the studied equation expressed in terms of Sigma(infinity)R(n)p(n) < infinity and Sigma(infinity)R(n)q(n) < infinity are obtained, where R-n = Sigma(n)(s=n0) 1/r(s), n >= n(0).
