Comparative Study on DNA Extraction Methods of Momordica Charantia L.

Abstract:CTAB method,SDS method,SDS-CTAB method and kit method were applied to extract total DNA from Momordica charantia L.The purity and concentration of DNA obtained was detected by spectrophotometry and agarose gel electrophoresis.The results indicated that the purity of DNA extracted by SDS-CTAB method and kit method was higher than CTAB method and SDS method.The concentration and yield of DNA extracted by SDS-CTAB method was higher than other methods.
