Abstract:In this article, we establish a transference between the n-dimensional Euclidean space ℝ ^n and the n-torus 𝕋^n about the H^p-L^p,∞ boundedness of maximal multipliers. As an application, we obtain that the maximal oscillatory integral S_α ,β^* is bounded from H^p( ℝ ^n) to L^p,∞( ℝ ^n) under the sharp relation among α ,β and p.

Abstract:Let (X, tau(1)) and (Y, tau(2)) be two Hausdorff locally convex spaces with continuous duals X, and Y', respectively, L (X, Y) be the space of all continuous linear operators from X into Y, K (X, Y) be the space of all compact operators of L (X, Y). Let WOT and UOT be the weak operator topology and uniform operator topology on K (X, Y), respectively. In this paper, we characterize a full-invariant property of K (X, Y); that is, if the sequence space X has the signed-weak gliding hump property, then each; lambda-multiplier WOT-convergent series Sigma(i) T-i in K(X, Y) must be X-multiplier convergent with respect to all topologies between WOT and UOT if and only if each continuous linear operator T: (X, tau(1)) --> or (lambda(beta), sigma(lambda(beta),lambda)) is compact. Abstract:Our principal result is the following. Let $X$ and $Y$ be Banach spaces, let $G$ be a locally compact abelian group, and let $K$ be an operator valued kernel defined on $G$ with values in the space of bounded linear operators from $X$ to $Y$. Suppose that $R$ and $\tilde{R}$ are representations of $G$ on $X$ and $Y$ respectively that intertwine the values of $K$. Then, under suitable boundedness conditions on $R, \tilde{R}$ and $K$, the formula $$T_Kx = \int_GK(u)R_{-u}xdu $$ defines a bounded linear operator $T_K$ from $X$ to $Y$ with norm controlled by norm of convolution by $K$ as a mapping from $L^p_X(G)$ into $L^p_Y(G)$, (for all values of $p$ in the range $1\le p < \infty$.) A number of applications to the geometry of Banach spaces are given. Several results are proved in the setting of abstract commutative harmonic analysis. We outline the proof of the affirmative resolution of a conjecture of Rubio de Francia. This technique of transference is used to obtain dimension free estimates for certain operators in an $\Bbb{R}^n$ setting.

Connection Laplacian on discrete tori with converging property

Abstract:This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the spectral properties of the connection Laplacian for both real and discrete tori. We introduce novel methods to examine these eigenvalues by employing parallel orthonormal basis in the pullback bundle on universal covering spaces. Our main results reveal that the eigenvalues of the connection Laplacian on a real torus can be expressed in terms of standard Laplacian eigenvalues, with a unique twist encapsulated in the torsion matrix. This connection is further investigated in the context of discrete tori, where we demonstrate similar results.

Abstract:We study the spectral gap for transfer operators of the skew product F : T-d x T-l -> T-d x T-l given by F(x,y) = (Tx,y + tau (x) (mod Z(l))), where T : T-d -> T-d is a C-infinity uniformly expanding endomorphism, and the fiber map tau : T-d -> R-l is a C-infinity map. We construct a Hilbert space W-s for any s < 0, which contains all the Holder functions of Milder exponents |s| on T-d x T-l. Applying the method of semiclassical analysis, we obtain the dichotomy: either the transfer operator has a spectral gap on W-s, or tau is an essential coboundary. In the former case, F mixes exponentially fast for Milder observables with Holder exponents |s|; and in the latter case, either F is not weak mixing and it is semiconjugate to a circle rotation, or F is unstably mixing, i.e. it can be approximated by non-mixing skew products.

Examples include Euclidean Jordan algebras, systems induced by certain hyperbolic polynomials, and normal decomposition systems (Eaton triples). The present article is a continuation of an earlier paper, where the concepts of commutativity, automorphisms, majorization, and reduction were introduced and elaborated. Here, we describe some transfer principles and present Fenchel conjugate and subdifferential formulas.

We provide partial answers to this question by exploiting the distribution of integer points on spheres, basic properties of polynomials, and Nazarov--Turán type estimates for exponential polynomials. Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the fractional Fourier series on the fractional torus and study some basic facts of fractional Fourier series, such as fractional convolution and fractional approximation. Meanwhile, fractional Fourier inversion and Poisson summation formula are also given. We further discuss the relationship between the decay of fractional Fourier coefficients and the smoothness of a function. Using the properties of fractional Fejer kernel, the pointwise convergence of fractional Fourier series can be established. Finally, we present the applications of fractional Fourier series to fractional partial differential equations with periodic boundary condition. Moreover, we apply approximation methods on the fractional torus to recover the non-stationary signals.

More precisely, we give some new estimates for this kind of commutators under some Dini-type conditions on Lebesgue spaces, homogenous Lipschitz spaces, and homogenous Triebel–Lizorkin spaces.

Abstract:The linear canonical transform (LCT), which is a generalization of the Fourier transform (FT), has many applications in several areas, including signal processing and optics. Many properties for this transform are already known, but an extension of convolution theorem of FT is still not having a widely accepted closed form expression. In the literature of recent past different authors have tried to formulate convolution theorem for LCT, but none have received acclamation because their definition do not generalize very nicely the classical result for the FT. Moreover, those definitions exhibit only partial invariance properties which prevent their actual use in many applications of signal processing. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new convolution structure for the LCT that preserves the translation invariance property. Indeed, an effective translation invariance is obtained by slightly modifying the former definitions and by introducing linear canonical translation operators.

Abstract:Recently Dabrowski etc. \cite{DL} obtained the metric and Einstein functionals by two vector fields and Laplace-type operators over vector bundles, giving an interesting example of the spinor connection and square of the Dirac operator. Pf$\ddot{a}$ffle and Stephan \cite{PS1} considered orthogonal connections with arbitrary torsion on compact Riemannian manifolds and computed the spectral action. Motivated by the spectral functionals and Dirac operators with torsion, we give some new spectral functionals which is the extension of spectral functionals to the noncommutative realm with torsion, and we relate them to the noncommutative residue for manifolds with boundary. Our method of producing these spectral functionals is the noncommutative residue and Dirac operators with torsion.

The zeta-determinants and anlaytic torsion of a metric mapping torus

Abstract:We use the BFK-gluing formula for zeta-determinants to compute the zeta-determinant and analytic torsion of a metric mapping torus induced from an isometry. As applications, we compute the zeta-determinants of the Laplacians defined on a Klein bottle ${\mathbb K}$ and some compact co-Kähler manifold ${\mathbb T}_{\varphi}$. We also show that a metric mapping torus and a Riemannian product manifold with a round circle have the same heat trace asymptotic expansions. We finally compute the analytic torsion of a metric mapping torus for the Witten deformed Laplacian and recover the result of J. Marcsik in \cite{Ma}.

A Complex Geometric Approach to the Discrete Gabor Transform and Localization Operators on the Flat Torus

Abstract:In a recent paper, the discrete Gabor transform was connected to a Gabor transform with a time frequency domain given by the flat torus. We show that the corresponding Bargmann spaces can be expressed as theta line bundles on Abelian varieties. We give applications of this viewpoint to frame results for the discrete Gabor transform. In particular, we get results which hold in higher dimension. We also give an application to asymptotics of restriction operators which arises from the asymptotic behavior of Bergman kernels for high tensor powers.

Abstract:It is well known that the standard flat torus $\mathbb{T}^2=\mathbb{R}^2/\Z^2$ has arbitrarily large Laplacian-eigenvalue multiplicities. We prove, however, that $24$ is the optimal upper bound for the multiplicities of the nonzero eigenvalues of a $2$-dimensional discrete torus. For general higher dimension discrete tori, we characterize the eigenvalues with large multiplicities. As consequences, we get uniform boundedness results of the multiplicity for a long range and an optimal global bound for the multiplicity. Our main tool of proof is the theory of vanishing sums of roots of unity.

Abstract:Let $F$ and $F'$ be two $l$-close nonarchimedean local fields, where $l$ is a positive integer, and let $\mathrm{T}$ and $\mathrm{T}'$ be two tori over $F$ and $F'$, respectively, such that their cocharacter lattices can be identified as modules over the ''at most $l$-ramified'' absolute Galois group $\Gamma_F/I_F^l \cong\Gamma_{F'}/I_{F'}^l$. In the spirit of the work of Kazhdan and Ganapathy, for every positive integer $m$ relative to which $l$ is large, we construct a congruent isomorphism $\mathrm{T}(F)/\mathrm{T}(F)_m\cong\mathrm{T}'(F')/\mathrm{T}'(F')_m$, where $\mathrm{T}(F)_m$ and $\mathrm{T}(F')_m$ are the minimal congruent filtration subgroups of $\mathrm{T}(F)$ and $\mathrm{T}(F')$, respectively, defined by J.-K.~Yu. We prove that this isomorphism is functorial and compatible with both the isomorphism constructed by Chai and Yu and the Kottwitz homomorphism for tori. We show that, when $l$ is even larger relative to $m$, it moreover respects the local Langlands correspondence for tori.
