Project Planning Method for Engineering-to-order Product Mass Customization

Abstract:A rapid project planning method based on project main plan was proposed, according to the feature of engineering to order (ETO) product mass customization. Project main plan was established based on the product main structure. The process of project plan instantiation was researched, and the project plan knowledge base was described. The project plan of ETO product mass customization could be built rapidly through project plan instantiation, so the project plan was efficiently implemented. An engine product example was given to verify the feasibility of the principle. The engine project's main plan was built up in a specific application system, and the project plan instantiation of engine product was realized. Accordingly, the project plan of the engine can be carried out efficiently.
