Abstract:Information literacy capabilities of medical practitioners have become the world’s gold standard for occupational physicians.This paper reviews the development of information literacy and its standardized assessment tools in medical science,explains the necessity for standardized assessment tools of medical information literacy.By comparation,the authors point out several key issues that China’s information literacy competency standards and assessment study should solve.Finally,this paper indicates that research and design of medical information literacy competency standards and standardized assessment tools with China’s characteristics,and the public’s health information literacy intervention as a number of directions for future research.
