Study on 990 Cases of Adverse Drug Reaction

Abstract:Objective:To explore the features of the adverse drug reaction (ADR) reports in our hospital.Method:A retrospec- tive study was applied to quantitatively analyze the 990 ADR reports spontaneously reported by medical workers rfrom 2002 to 2005 in our hospital.Result:The number of ADRs were increased year by year.1174 kinds of 25 categories of drngs were suspected,45.9% of which was anti-infective agents,second was anti-tumor agents;29.5% of the anti-infective agents were quinolones,26.7% be- longed to cephalosporins and 15.6% was penicillins;The most common displays of the ADRs was the lesion of skin and the appenda- ges,second was diseases of the digestive system;59.3% of them were cured,39.0% turned better,only 0.5% had sequelae or died; 13.0% of them were certain about causality assessment,65.4% probable,and 5.4% possible.Conclusion:It must be strengthen mo- nitoring of ADR,decrease the percentage of failing to report,and improve the quality of ADR reports gradually.
