Abstract:Use ginger as raw material,the polyphenols from ginger are extracted by solvent extraction method.The ratio of solid to liquid,ethanol concentration,extracting time and ultrasonic power are analyzed by single factor experiment.On the basis of single factor experiment,the optimal process conditions for polyphenols extracting from ginger are obtained by orthogonal experiment.The results show that the optimum extraction conditions are as follows:the ratio of solid to liquid is 1 ∶ 2,the ethanol concentration is 80％,the extracting time is 1.5 h and the ultrasonic power is 400 W,under such conditions,the extraction yield of polyphenols is up to 0.503％.The results could provide experimental data for the development and utilization of ginger.

Abstract:In order to investigate effect of 6-gingerol on the extracting operation from polymer amine column,3 kinds of organic solvents including ether,n-hexane and chloroform were used to extract it for several times.6-gingerol extracted by different organic solvents and different times was determined by HPLC method.The results showed that extracted with ether was higher purity,bigger extraction volume,fewer times and lower volume.The optimum extraction processing was that 6-gingerol was extracted with 20% ether for two times.

Abstract:[Objective] To optimize the extraction process of gingerol from dry rhizome of Zingiber officinale Rose..[Method] Ethanol reflux method was adopted,with the extraction rate of gingerol as index,ethanol volume,reflux time and extraction times were selected for the orthogonal experiment.[Result] The optimum extraction process of gingerol from dried Ginger was as follows:5.5 ml 60% ethanol,extraction time of 3,1 h of each time.[Conclusion] The determined process is reasonable,reproductive and efficient which has instructive significance for the industrial extraction of Rhizoma zingiberis.

Abstract:The extraction procession of Gandujing granules was studied by orthogonal design with dry extract yield and chlorogenic acid as the detective marker.The optimum extraction condition is that adding 8 fold of water,and decocting 1 hour for 2 times.The optimum water-decocting condition was reasonable and scientific,and it could be used in the future large-scaled preparation of Gandujing granules.

Abstract:Background: 6-Gingerol is one of the most pharmacologically active and abundant components in ginger, which has a wide array of biochemical and pharmacologic activities. In recent years, the application of microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) for obtaining bioactive compounds from plant materials has shown tremendous research interest and potential. In this study, an efficient microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) technique was developed to extract 6-gingerol from ginger. The extraction efficiency of MAE was also compared with conventional extraction techniques. Material and methods: Fresh gingers (Zingiber officinale Rose.) were harvested at commercial maturity (originally from Shandong, laiwu, China). In single-factor experiments for the recovery of 6-gingerol, proper ranges of ratio of liquid to solid, ethanol proportion, microwave power, extraction time were determined. Based on the values obtained in single-factor experiments, a Box-Behnken design (BBD) was applied to determine the best combination of extraction variables on the yield of 6-gingerol. Results: The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: microwave power 528 W, ratio of liquid to solid 26 mL·g(-1), extraction time 31 s and ethanol proportion 78%. Furthermore, more 6-gingerol and total polyphenols contents were extracted by MAE than conventional methods including Maceration (MAC), Stirring Extraction (SE), Heat reflux extraction (HRE), Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE), as well as the antioxidant capacity. Conclusion: Microwave-assisted extraction showed obvious advantages in terms of high extraction efficiency and antioxidant activity of extract within shortest extraction time. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of ginger powder materials after different extractions were obtained to provide visual evidence of the disruption effect. To our best knowledge, this is the first report about usage of MAE of 6-gingerol extraction from ginger, which could be referenced for the extraction of other active compounds from herbal plants.

Abstract:In the present study, an HPLC-DAD method was optimized for the quantitative determination of 6-gingerol, 6-shogaol, 8-gingerol, and 10-gingerol in ginger extracts. A chromatographic fingerprinting method was also established to differentiate and evaluate the ginger extracts for bioactivity. Twenty-one extracts were prepared by methods differing in ginger type (fresh versus dried), solvent, and extraction methods. The ANOVA analysis showed the methods' influence on the mean extraction yields of gingerols increased in the order of: high pressure-high temperature (HP)>blender (BD)>low pressure (LP). The optimal solvent to extract gingerols was found to be 95% ethanol. The type of ginger used had significant effects on the content of gingerols, but its overall influence depended on the solvent used. In order to maximize the extraction efficiency of gingerols, a combination of dry ginger, 95% ethanol, and the HP extraction method should be employed. The chromatographic fingerprints were obtained to differentiate the unknown components from all ginger extracts. The similarity of the chromatographic fingerprints was used to evaluate the differences among all extracts. It can be concluded that the chromatographic fingerprints are able to ensure the stability of each extract and have some correlation with the observed bioactivity.

Abstract:The purpose of the study was to evaluate the optimum conditions applied by the supercritical fluid extraction and fractionation to maximize the content of 6-gingerol extracted from Ginger rhizomes. 3000Kg of Ginger rhizomes were collected from Jia Shian in Taiwan. The rhizomes were dried and ground into three granule-size groups, 0.297˜0.840mm, 0.840˜2.00 mm, and >2.00mm, respectively. The granules were extracted using supercritical carbon dioxide (SFE) under various combinations of pressures (80, 100, 120bar) and temperatures (35, 45, 55°C). The extracts collected under different conditions were then analyzed by HPLC to determine the content of 6-gingerol. The results showed that the extracts collected from 0.840˜2.00 mm group at 35°C and 200bar produced the greatest content of 6-gingerol, 20.23%. In order to evaluate the optimal conditions to further increase the content of 6-gingerol from ginger oil, 30Kg of SFE-obtained ginger oil by scaled-up SFE extraction was run by the supercritical fluid fractionation under different conditions. Selected pressures (80, 100, 120bar), temperatures (35, 45, 55°C), CO2 flow rates/volumes of ginger oil (5/1, 10/1, 15/1) and re-extracted times (0, 1, 2) of collected ginger oil from separator were tested to evaluate the best conditions that can help increase the content of 6-gingerol from the fractionation extracts. The results showed that the greatest content of 6-gingerol, 68.83%, was collected under one specific set of conditions: 120bar, 35°C, 10/1 (CO2 flow rate/volume of ginger oil) and re-extracted 2 times of collected ginger oil from the separator. The results may be utilized by the industry to enhance the 6-gingerol content during Ginger production.

Abstract:Objective To study the best extraction process of Qiming granules.Methods Using the content of puerarin,flavonoids and total nitrogenand as an assessing index to determine the optimum extraction conditions.Content of ethanol,amount of ethanol,extracting temperature and extracting time were selected by orthogonal design and the analysis of variance.Results The optimum conditions for the extraction of puerarin,flavonoids and total nitrogen were 65% ethanol,which was 8 times of the amount of herb material,refluxed 2 hours at 90℃.Conclusion The optimal extraction process is steady and reliable.

Abstract:In order to study the effective extraction of ginger oleoresin,ginger protease and curcumin simultaneous extraction,ethanol solvent combined with rotary evaporation was studied.The ratio of ginger and ethanol liquid ratio was 1∶ 3 g∶ mL),extraction buffer pH 6.5,ice bath time 7h;for the ginger oleoresin and curcumin rotary evaporation,the optimum temperature was 60℃,the rotating speed was 16 r/min.Under the above optimized conditions,gingerol in ginger,curcumin extraction rate was 0.314 3% and 0.388 9%;ginger protease ratio was 1.376%,specific enzymatic activity reached to 4 465 U/mg.This process can simultaneously extract gingerol,curcumin and ginger protease three effective components,reduce the consumption of raw materials,the production cost,and therefore more suitable for industrial production.

Abstract:Objective To optimize the extracting technology of Jingxuanning capsule.Methods HPLC was adopted to determine the gastrodine in rhizoma gastrodiae.The extraction technology of falcoholsoluble extractive ingredients was optimized by orthogonal test with the extract yield and the extracting yield of gastrodine as indexes.Results The extracting technology was to extract 3 times for 2 h each time with 10 fold amount of 65% alcohol.Conclusion The experimental results provide that the optimized technique is efficient and stable.

Abstract:Molecular distillation residue (MD-R) from ginger had the most total phenol content of 247.6 mg gallic acid equivalents per gram (GAE/g) among the ginger oils. High-speed counter-current chromatography (HSCCC) technique in semi-preparative scale was successfully performed in separation and purification of 6-gingerol from MD-R by using a two-phase solvent system composed of n-hexane-ethyl acetate-methanol-water (10:2:5:7, v/v/v/v). The target compound was isolated, collected, purified by HSCCC in the head-tail mode, and then analyzed by HPLC. A total of 90.38 +/- 0.53 mg 6-gingerol was obtained from 600 mg MD-R, with purity of 99.6%. In addition, the structural identification of 6-gingerol was performed by EI/MS, H-1 NMR and C-13 NMR. Moreover, the orders of antioxidant activity were vitamin E (VE) > supercritical fluid extraction oleoresin (SFE-O) = MD-R = 6-gingerol > molecular distillation essential oil (MD-EO) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) = VE > 6-gingerol > MD-R = SFE-O > MD-EO, respectively in 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH center dot) scavenging and beta-Carotene bleaching. Abstract:OBJECTIVE: To optimize the supercritical CO_2 extraction technology of volatile component from Tibet inual and Zingiber officianle. METHODS: The extraction technology was optimized by orthogonal experiment with the content of alantolac-tone and the yield of volatile oil as indexes while with extracting pressure, extracting temperature, extracting time and entrainer volume as factors. RESULTS: The optimal extraction technology was as follows: 225 mL entrainer was extracted at 40 ℃, with extracting pressure of 35 Mpa for 1 hour. CONCLUSION: The extraction technology is reasonable, practical and controllable for the industrial production.

Abstract:To optimize the optimum extraction process for eleutherosides, L_9(3~4) theorthogonal design is used to observe influential factors such as ethanol concentration (A), menstruum capacity (B) and extraction times(C). Eleutherosides content, syringin content and extraction rate are determined to evaluate the effect of different processes, and the results are analyzed by grading methods including direct method and variance method. The results showed that the main factor was menstruum capacity (B), and the optimum extraction process was A_1B_3C_1, viz. extracting for 2 times (1 hour each) with 10 times of 60% alcohol. The optimal extraction process is simple, repeatable and adapt to industrial production.

Abstract:Extraction technology of ginger polyphenols in ginger was studied with solvent extraction. Effects of solvent species, ethanol concentration, ratio of material to liquid, extraction time, extraction temperature and extraction times on extraction rate of ginger polyphenols were investigated by single factor and orthogonal test.The optimum extraction conditions for ginger polyphenols were identified as the follows.the particle size 60 screen mesh,75% ethanol as solvent, ratio of material to liquid 1:25, extraction temperature 70℃, extraction time 2.5h with two times after drying less than 60℃ of fresh ginger.The extraction ratio of ginger polyphenols was up to 1.?9%.The experiment of antioxidant activity showed that ginger polyphenols had good activity of scavenging DPPH radicals, and the scavenging activity had obvious dose-effect relationship of concentration.And the extract was analyzed by GC-MS.7 compounds might belonged to polyphenols in the 35 compounds identified by GC-MS analysis, and relative content was up to 45.02%.Results showed that there were rich in antioxidant components as polyphenots in the extract.

Abstract:Objective To optimize the extraction process for phenolic glycosides from Rhizoma Curculigins.Methods The contents of orcinol glucoside,curculigoside and curculigine were used as parameters,and they were determined by HPLC.The extraction conditions of phenolic glycosides from Rhizoma Curculigins were optimized using orthogonal design.The examined factors included concentration of ethanol(50%,70%,and 95%),extraction time(1,1.5,and 2 h),times of extraction(1,2,and 3),and solvent volume(6,8,and 10 times).Results The concentration of ethanol,extraction time,times of extraction and solvent volume significantly affected the extraction efficacy of phenolic glycosides in Rhizoma Curculigins,with the most prominent effect exerted by the ethanol concentration.The optimal extraction process was refluxing three times with 70% ethanol(10 times of solvent volume),for 2 h each time.Conclusion The present method can effectively extract phenolic glycosides from Rhizoma Curculigin,which paves a way for further research on phenolic glycosides in Rhizoma Curculigins

Abstract:This paper studied the method for gingerol purification from ginger by macroporous resin absorption resin and its relevant influential factors for extraction. The optimum process conditions were gathered as following: AB-8 for the resin type, the resin quantity adopted at 40mg gingerol per dry resin, hexane to ethanol at 7:3 as the eluting solvent, elution rate at 0.4ml/min. The content of gingerol in the purified oil reached 48.3%.
