Reading Cultivates Gentle Personality:The Era Mission of"National Reading Promotion"

Abstract:This article is the joint preface of the companion books " National Reading Promotion Manual" and "National Reading Reference Book",which will be published by Shenzhen Haitian Publishing House.Upholding the idea of " learning methods are the same in all lands ",the author introduced useful experiences of reading promotion in the United States,Britain,Germany,Russia, Japan and other countries,which based on the viewpoints of Confucius,Wang Chong,Su Shi,Goethe and others,and combined with the basic principles of reading science.The author thought the essences of learning and reading had never changed,though it's the golden transformation period of the traditional way of reading in human history.Finally,the article elaborates three creative connotations of " national reading promotion" in contemporary era.
