A Study on the Spatial Structure and Its Integration in Chengyu District

Abstract:Cities with relatively developed economic bases in the Chengyu District have not been con- nected with one another as a stretch and the re- gional economy in the regional central cities is rela- tively backward. Therefore the development of the urban agglomeration in Chengyu District is still at the starting point with very weak interaction be- tween cities. Attention should be paid to the follow- ing in the future development of the Chengyu District: further efforts should be made to strengthen the economic strength of the core cities and to upgrade the urban function, full use should be made of the driving function of the regional traffic corridor and select and foster cities at the second level in order to promote the perfection of the urban system.
