Abstract:Based on the study of the MARC21 format for holdings data and the application of Unicorn system in Peking University Library,this article focuses on the practice of retrospective establishment of the serials' MARC holdings.It discusses the methods of using the fields and subfields of 852,866 to solve problems such as one periodical holding at different locations,as well as developing MARC Holding record created by Unicorn serial control.It also introduces some relative practice of other libraries.

Abstract:The translation and research of Chinese foreign literature have a rich and distinguished history that spans over a century, yielding numerous and substantial achievements. These research outcomes for thoroughly synthesized and scientific analyses can provide authoritative and accurate guidance for foreign literature translation and research, highlighting the significance of the China Foreign Literature Studies Index (CFLSI) database. This article focuses on three issues encountered in database development. 1) An examination of the limitations of existing public network resources based on the unique nature of the foreign literature discipline, thereby establishing the necessity for the creation of a discipline-specific database; 2) An exploration of the composition, functional design, and implementation approaches of the CFLSI database in response to the requirements of foreign literature researchers; 3) The establishment of the database framework and development technology of the system aligned with the data composition and functional design. The creation of the CFLSI database represents an exploration and application to merge digital technology with a comprehensive understanding of the foreign literature discipline.

Abstract:It's common for newly-enrolled graduate students that they have no idea where to obtain and how to filter the mass data to what they need effectively. To help them span this dizzy situation, this paper puts forward a series of literature retrieval ways and skills in different cases and how to utilize the searched results correspondingly, based on the modern literature citation system. Moreover, taking science citation index (SCI) database as an example, this paper introduces how to search the most influential references in power electronics efficiently and analyze the results.

Abstract:[Purpose/Significance]The requirement of database retrieving and data processing reports is increasing year by year.Data quality problems easily occur by the use of automatic retrieving system, but it takes more time and ener-gy to handle the reports manually in the traditional way.Then a new workflow is put forward, aiming at libraries to provide better database retrieving and data processing service and enhance its quality and efficiency.[Method/Process]The se-quential processing of production and operation management was introduced into the workflow.Combined with batch pro-cessing the new workflow was set up.[Result/Conclusion]The workflow comprehensively utilized the software resource of library including Word, Excel and reference management software.It also took full advantage of strengths of the software. Batch retrieving, batch editing fields and quickly inserting citations could be realized.As a result, repetitive operations were greatly decreased and data accuracy can be guaranteed, which provided beneficial reference for study and practice of database retrieving and data processing service.

Abstract:We report applications of language technology to analyzing historical documents in the Database for the Study of Modern Chinese Thoughts and Literature (DSMCTL). We studied two historical issues with the reported techniques: the conceptualization of "huaren" (Chinese people) and the attempt to institute constitutional monarchy in the late Qing dynasty. We also discuss research challenges for supporting sophisticated issues using our experience with DSMCTL, the Database of Government Officials of the Republic of China, and the Dream of the Red Chamber. Advanced techniques and tools for lexical, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic processing of language information, along with more thorough data collection, are needed to strengthen the collaboration between historians and computer scientists.

Abstract:Based on the list of two batches of academic journals published by GAPP, we established the basic database of the Chinese Academic Periodicals of philosophy and social sciences. Through the survey data in 2007 and 2017. This paper compare and analysis regional distribution, subject structure, publishing period, language structure, journals stratifying of the Chinese Academic Periodicals of philosophy and social sciences, then points out there are still such problems as all, small, scattered, weak, although have made we some progress. The irrational structural layout has not been effectively improved, the development system of periodicals with distinctive features and distinct levels has not yet been formed. In addition to continuing to pay attention to the development of core journals, we should also pay attention to the survival and development of non-core journals, so as to optimize the structure and rational distribution of journals.

Abstract:The development of computer technology has not only made significant changes in social life, but also brought great convenience to academic research. With the help of databases, researchers can save a lot of time spent on literature retrieval, and can discover features that cannot be discovered by traditional research through data analysis. However, in the foreign literary circles, the usage of databases hasn't been drawing much attention, thus having produced fewer related achievements. Through a comprehensive analysis of the literary measurement research results, this article clarifies the necessity and feasibility of using measurement methods in foreign literature research. At the same time, it introduces the steps and methods of literary measurement research in detail in conjunction with related research. This article not only helps foreign literary researchers to understand the relationship between data, statistical methods and literary research, but also provides them with specific research paths to promote the output of quantitative research results in foreign literature.

Abstract:Abstract With the rapid development of database and computer network technology, traditional data analysis methods can no longer meet the needs of people’s lives and work. The traditional data method only uses statistical analysis theory to perform simple summary statistics on the data, without considering the ambiguity and uncertainty of the data. In order to solve the shortcomings of the existing methods, big data came into being. High-dimensional, uncertain, vague, and noisy data are used to mine potential, implicit, and useful information and patterns to improve people’s market decision-making capabilities and assist people in giving feedback on the basis of past experience. The future development trend and so on. Although attempts to innovate in English teaching are continuing, there are still shortcomings. In order to solve the problem of English innovation, this paper adopts the Apriori algorithm and will conduct research on English innovation. Using the methods in this article, through the combination and calculation of the previous innovative methods of English teaching, we find a set of reasonable English teaching methods. According to calculations, this method can improve students’ learning ability by 14%.

Abstract:The article holds that the determination of the formation, transcribing, time and place of burial of the excavated text, as well as text replication, is of vital significance for the selection and application of texts in researching the history of the Chinese language. The paper also points out that excavated texts from different periods and of different types exhibit different data value. Not all "excavated texts" are "simultaneous data". The article suggests that the study of the history of the Chinese language should focus on the study of the characteristics and attributes of the excavated texts, in order to avoid falling into the "new material trap" in the use of excavated texts as the corpus.

Abstract:Over the past decades, the rapid development in computer science and web technology has substantially promoted the research and application of education technologies in general and language technologies in particular. The present study concerns itself with a joint study of the theory development in psychology, sociology, and linguistics, and the application of these theories to the design of a learning database for English writing. There are 8 parts in the current study. Following a brief introduction, it begins its discussion with the issue of how to increase efficient input in the teaching of writing. Then, it focuses on the process movement and looks for a better treatment of this teaching model in an e-writing class. Merits community practice and digital text processing can provide are discussed in relation with a functional study of this database-oriented training system. It concludes that a third wave will come in the reform of Chinese college English and the importance of writing training will be further highlighted in this coming movement.
