A Design of Distributed Directory Service Based on GMA

Abstract:Performance monitoring of distributed components is critical for enabling grid computing. Directory service has been used for organizing and making use of the data produced by grid monitoring systems. We propose a design of distributed directory service based on GMA (Grid Monitoring Architecture) that provides efficient and scalable discovery and queries of computing resources. In this paper,we present an overall architecture design of distributed directory service that enables quick response of user' s queries, as well as local components, information stored, data transmission format and query mechanism of local directory service.
