Abstract:Objective:This study explored the relationship between social support, coping style and well-being of left children, whose parents left home for making money. Methods: 275 rural children finished questionnaires (including 136 left children). Results: 1.No significant differences of well-being were found between left children and their counterparts. 2. There were more significant correlations between left children’s well-being and positive coping style than the counterparts. All the perceived social supports the left children got were related significantly to the well-being. 3. Regression analysis showed there were good relations between positive coping styles, social support and left children’s well-being. Conclusion: Left children’s well-being can be protected by positive coping styles and social support.
