The Index System and Empirical Analysis of Social Security Level in China

Abstract:The evaluation indexes of the level about the development of social security include the social problems coverage extent of social security,the social member coverage of social security and the transfer payments of social security.This paper discusses the level of social security from the three indexes in China.The study found that the social issues coverage extent of social assistance and social welfare is low,low enrollment level of the social security system for urban workers,the lack of some groups in the social security system,lower overall expenditure level of China's social security,urban and rural community binary social security transfer payments in the security system characteristics significantly.This makes the level of China's social security is still in the way to improve.As result,the main task of the social security system is to expand the coverage groups.
