Clinical observation of "Fuzheng Quyu Jiedu Prescription" combining with chemotherapy in treating postoperative breast cancer

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of "Fuzheng Quyu Jiedu Prescription" with chemotherapy in treating postoperative breast cancer.Methods Forty-five cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group by digital table method.Twenty-two cases in control group were treated with CTF chemotherapy,and twenty-three cases in treatment group were treatment with CTF chemotherapy and "Fuzheng Quyu Jiedu Prescription",with the course of 21 days.Both the groups were treated for two courses.The scores of Karnofsky,changes of weight,immunologic function,tumor marker and quality of life were observed.Results The difference of Karnofsky score between the two groups was significant(P<0.05).In treatment group,the levels of CD3,CD4/CD8,and NK cells were increased(P<0.05,P<0.01);the level of CD8 cells was decreased(P<0.01) after treatment.In control group,the levels of CD3,CD4,CD4/CD8,and NK cells were decreased(P<0.05,P<0.01),and the level of CD8 cells was increased(P<0.05).The difference of index between the two groups was of significance after treatment(P<0.05,P<0.01).The CEA and CA153 in treatment group were decreased(P<0.05),and the CEA in control group was decreased(P<0.05);the difference of CEA and CA153 between the two groups was of no significance(P>0.05).Before and after treatment,the physiological condition,emotional state,functional status and additional attention points in each group had significant differences(P<0.05,P<0.01);also had significant differences between the two groups(P<0.01).Conclusion Combination of"Fuzheng Quyu Jiedu Prescription"and chemotherapy can improve the quality of life and boost immune function in postoperative breast cancer patients.
