Clinical Observation of Early Postoperative Chemotherapy Combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine Adjuvant Therapy for Gastric Carcinoma

Abstract:Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of early postoperative chemotherapy combined with adjuvant therapy of traditional Chinese medicine for gastric carcinoma. Methods: 198 patients were conformed standard and divided into 2 groups according to random number table method. Control group was 82 cases and used chemotherapy and conventional western medicine treatment,while the treatment group was 116 cases and used the chemotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine astragalus membranaceus injection on the basis of control group. During the intermittent period of chemotherapy,Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction was used. Results: After the treatment in two groups,the WBC, CEA and CA724 changes had significant difference(P 0. 05). CA199 changes had no significant difference(P 0. 05). All patients of two groups appeared different degree of gastrointestinal reaction. Treatment group with mild gastrointestinal reaction was 78 cases,accounting for 67. 24%,10 cases had severe reactions,accounting for 8. 62%. Control group had 12 cases mild effects,accounting for 14. 63%,45 cases had severe reaction,accounting for 54. 88%. Significant differences were observed in the comparison of two groups(P 0. 05). Treatment group had 26 cases clear shift,12 cases recurred,and the recurrence metastasis rate was 32. 75%. 30 cases of control group clear shifted,21 cases recurred,and the recurrence metastasis rate was 62. 20%. Comparison of two groups had significant differences(P 0. 05). The improving rate of life quality of period patients in treatment group was 67. 25%,and that of control group was 22. 41%. There was significant difference(P 0. 05). Conclusion: Early postoperative gastric cancer during chemotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine astragalus membranaceus injection,and intermittent period of chemotherapy added Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction,can reduce the inhibition of the white blood cells of the chemotherapy drugs, reduce the extent of the gastrointestinal adverse reactions,reduce the recurrence and metastasis,and improve patients' quality of life.
