Abstract:Objective To compare PAGE with agrose electrophoresis during the detection of genotype of COX-2 1995GA Site.Methods The genotypes of COX-2-1195GA for 100 subjects were evaluated by PAGE or agrose electrophoresis with two technicians.The genotype results and the characters of the two methods were compared.Results The results of two methods were a perfect match.Compared with agrose electrophoresis,PAGE was a high-sensitive method with more complex techniques,more time consuming,less economic,and harder for the photos to be edited.ConclusionAgrose electrophoresis is a proper method to detect the genotype for PCR-RFLP while the fragment are susceptible to be separated..
