Abstract:The title compound, C22H21N3O7, was prepared by reaction of podophyllotoxin and hydrogen azide. Each of the five-membered rings displays an envelope conformation. Weak C—H⋯O and C—H⋯N hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract:The main mol-ecule of the title solvate, C(33)H(30)N(2)O(10)·CH(3)OH, is a new anti-tumor agent, which shows cytotoxicity against MDR cancer cell lines. It has been synthesized by coupling 4β-amino-podophyllotoxin with (5-meth-oxy-1H-indol-3-yl)glyoxyl chloride and structurally characterized. There are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, which differ in the dihedral angles between the aromatic rings. The dihedral angles between the benzene ring of the benzo[d][1,3]dioxole and the benzene ring of the 5-meth-oxy-1H-indole are 85.08 (3) and 76.88 (3)° and reflect the main conformational difference between the two independent mol-ecules. The asymmetric unit is completed with two methanol solvent mol-ecules, one of which is disordered over two positions, with occupancies close to 0.5.

Abstract:The title compound [systematic name: 1-(7-isopropyl-1,4a-dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthren-1-ylmeth- yl)-4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazole], C35H40N2, was obtained via the one-pot three-component condensation of benzil, formaldehyde and dehydroabietylamine, which is a fungal toxin. The two substituent phenyl groups and the imidazole ring form a conjugated system. The dihedral angles between the imidazole ring and the phenyl rings are 70.18 (9) and 12.77 (12)degrees. In the crystal structure, there are one intramolecular and two intermolecular hydrogen-bonding C-H center dot center dot center dot pi contacts. Furthermore, a weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N intramolecular hydrogen bond is observed.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The title compound, C11H13N3O2, includes a planar phenylhydrazone moiety and a five-membered carbon ring in an envelope conformation. A short C—C bond distance of 1.435 (6) Å is observed in the five-membered ring. This may be due to the larger displacement parameters of relevant atoms. Neighboring molecules are linked to each other via hydrogen bonding, forming a zigzag supramolecular chain along the b axis.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H14ClN3O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Within the nitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.401 (2) and 1.399 (2) Angstrom for the two C-C bonds adjacent to the imino group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.377 (2) Angstrom for the other aromatic C-C bonds in the same benzene ring. The crystal packing involves pi-pi stacking effects.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C20H15N3O3, were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzil and 4-nitrophenylhydrazine. The phenylhydrazone moiety assumes a planar configuration, and the nitro group and phenyl rings of benzil are inclined to this plane. The overlapped arrangement and the small separation of 3.402 (14) Angstrom between parallel nitrophenyl rings of neighboring molecules suggest the existence of pi-pi stacking.
