Abstract:Abstract This paper is concerned with the existence and global exponential stability of the periodic solution of delayed Cohen–Grossberg neural networks (CGNNs) with discontinuous activation functions. The activations considered herein are non-decreasing but not required to be Lipschitz or continuous. Based on differential inclusion theory, Lyapunov functional theory and Leary–Schauder alternative theorem, some sufficient criteria are derived to ensure the existence and global exponential stability of the periodic solution. In order to show the superiority of the obtained results, an application and some detailed comparisons between some existing related results and our results are presented. Finally, some numerical examples are also illustrated.

Abstract:In this Letter, by using the inequality method and the Lyapunov functional method, we analyze the globally exponential stability and the existence of periodic solutions of a class of cellular neutral networks with delays and variable coefficients. Some simple and new sufficient conditions ensuring the existence and uniqueness of globally exponential stability of periodic solutions for cellular neutral networks with variable coefficients and delays are obtained. In addition, one example is also worked out to illustrate our theory.

Abstract:We adopted a non decomposition method to study the existence and stability of Stepanov almost periodic solutions in the distribution sense of stochastic shunting inhibitory cellular neural networks (SICNNs) with mixed time delays. Due to the lack of linear structure in the set composed of Stepanov almost periodic stochastic processes in the distribution sense. Due to the lack of linear structure in the set composed of distributed Stepanov periodic stochastic processes, it poses difficulties for the existence of Stepanov almost periodic solutions in the distribution sense of SICNNs. To overcome this difficulty, we first proved that the network under consideration has a unique solution in a space composed of $ \mathcal{L}^p $ bounded and $ \mathcal{L}^p $ uniformly continuous stochastic processes. Then, using stochastic analysis, inequality techniques, and the definition of Stepanov almost periodic stochastic processes in the distribution sense, we proved that this solution is also a Stepanov almost periodic solution in the distribution sense. Moreover, the result of the global exponential stability of this almost periodic solution is given. It is worth noting that even if the network under consideration degenerated into a real-valued network, our results are novel. Finally, we provided a numerical example to validate our theoretical findings.

Several sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the global exponential stability of the discrete-time systems of CGNNs with delays based on Lyapunov methods. The obtained results have not assume the symmetry of the connection matrix, and monotonicity, boundness of the activation functions.

Abstract:The problem of exponential stability and periodicity for a class of cellular neural networks (DCNNs) with time-varying delays is investigated. By dividing the network state variables into subgroups according to the characters of the neural networks, some sufficient conditions for exponential stability and periodicity are derived via the methods of variation parameters and inequality techniques. These conditions are represented by some blocks of the interconnection matrices. Compared with some previous methods, the method used in this paper does not resort to any Lyapunov function, and the results derived in this paper improve and generalize some earlier criteria established in the literature cited therein. Two examples are discussed to illustrate the main results. Keywords—Cellular neural networks, exponential stability, timevarying delays, partitioned matrices, periodic solution.

Abstract:Without assuming the boundedness,continuous,derivation of the active functions and the boundedness of the mean time-delay,the existence of a class of neural networks' periodic solution involving distributed delays with periodic inputs is obtained by using the theory of coincidence degree and the knowledge of Dini derivative,when the active functions satisfy the Lipchitz condition and the relations of the interconneetion matrix is an M-matrix.Meanwhile, under the same conditions,the global exponential stability of neural networks' periodic solution is obtained by employing Dini derivative and the analysis technique of inequality.Some existing conclusions are improved,extended and complemented.An example is also worked out to demonstrate the advantages of these results.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the global exponential stability and periodicity of nonautonomous cellular neural networks with reaction-diffusion, impulses, and time-varying delays. By establishing a new differential inequality for nonautonomous systems, using the properties of M-matrix and inequality techniques, some new sufficient conditions for the global exponential stability of the system are obtained. Moreover, sufficient conditions for the periodic solutions of the system are obtained by using the Poincare mapping and the fixed point theory. The validity and superiority of the main results are verified by numerical examples and simulations.

Abstract:Some sufficient conditions for the global exponential stability of cellular neural networks with variable coefficients and time-varying delays are obtained by a method based on a delayed differential inequality. The method, which does not make use of Lyapunov functionals, is simple and effective for the stability analysis of cellular neural networks with variable coefficients and time-varying delays. Some previous results in the literature are shown to be special cases of our results.

Abstract:In this paper, several classes of impulsive Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with continuously distributed delays are considered. Global exponential stability and robust global exponential stability of the equilibrium solution are investigated by using Lyapunov function and integro-differential inequality. Moreover, sufficient conditions are also given to guarantee the existence of ϖ-periodic solution and that all other solutions are convergent to it globally exponentially. Finally, two examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results in this paper.

Abstract:In the current paper, a delayed reaction-diffusion cellular neural networks with both the Dirichlet and Neumann boundary condition is studied. Several sufficient conditions guaranteeing its global exponential stability and the existence of periodic solutions are obtained through analytic methods such as Lyapunov functional and Poincaré mapping. Interestingly, the presented criteria depend on reaction-diffusion terms, which is a preeminent feature that distinguishes our research from the previous. Examples with numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results and method. Copyright © 2010 Watam Press.

Abstract:In this paper, the existence and the global exponential stability of anti-periodic solution for competitive neural networks with delays in the leakage terms are investigated on time scales which unifies the continuous-time and the discrete-time competitive neural networks under the same framework. Firstly, the existence of anti-periodic solution is discussed by using the method of coincidence degree and M-matrices. Then some sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the global exponential stability of anti-periodic solution for such neural networks. The obtained results are new and improve some earlier publications. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
