Knowledge Map Based Knowledge Matching Method for Product Design Process

Abstract:The function of knowledge map was analyzed,and a knowledge matching method was proposed based on the knowledge map constructed in the knowledge base of product design.The directed acyclic digraph was used to describe the knowledge nodes and their relations in the knowledge map.The knowledge nodes were mapped to be state space in the characteristic factor space,and the similarity degree between the state space and the target knowledge was calculated.The child nodes were extended gradually according to the relations among the knowledge nodes so that the rank of the state space rose.The similarity degree was calculated circularly until the knowledge chain containing the knowledge node element with the maximum similarity degree was searched out as the result.Application in a jewelry company indicates that the algorithm can completely and exactly search out the knowledge needed in the product design and help to improve the efficiency of product design.

Abstract:Matching plays a vital role in the rational allocation of resources in many areas, ranging from market operation to people's daily lives. In economics, the term matching theory is coined for pairing two agents in a specific market to reach a stable or optimal state. In computer science, all branches of matching problems have emerged, such as the question-answer matching in information retrieval, user-item matching in a recommender system, and entity-relation matching in the knowledge graph. A preference list is the core element during a matching process, which can either be obtained directly from the agents or generated indirectly by prediction. Based on the preference list access, matching problems are divided into two categories, i.e., explicit matching and implicit matching. In this paper, we first introduce the matching theory's basic models and algorithms in explicit matching. The existing methods for coping with various matching problems in implicit matching are reviewed, such as retrieval matching, user-item matching, entity-relation matching, and image matching. Furthermore, we look into representative applications in these areas, including marriage and labor markets in explicit matching and several similarity-based matching problems in implicit matching. Finally, this survey paper concludes with a discussion of open issues and promising future directions in the field of matching.

Abstract:We present an exploratory study to improve the performance of a knowledge push system in product design. We focus on the domain of knowledge matching, where traditional matching algorithms need repeated calculations that result in a long response time and where accuracy needs to be improved. The goal of our approach is to meet designers’ knowledge demands with a quick response and quality service in the knowledge push system. To improve the previous work, two methods are investigated to augment the limited training set in practical operations, namely, oscillating the feature weight and revising the case feature in the case feature vectors. In addition, we propose a multi-classification radial basis function neural network that can match the knowledge from the knowledge base once and ensure the accuracy of pushing results. We apply our approach using the training set in the design of guides by computer numerical control machine tools for training and testing, and the results demonstrate the benefit of the augmented training set. Moreover, experimental results reveal that our approach outperforms other matching approaches.

Abstract:Harmonized System (HS) is a systematic directory to identify the product codes based on their categories for entry and exit inspection. The identified HS codes are used, by entry and exit authorities, to determine the applicable policies for product to be inspected. We have proposed a HS codes Web service to intelligently generate the HS codes for the product names. Besides, the service can enable the computer systems to automatically process the quarantine and custom inspection. In this paper, we provide technical details to implement a knowledge base for the service. A semantic reasoning algorithm of the service is used to generate codes on the knowledge base for the input products. The technical solution, system design, experiment results, and applications of the knowledge base are provided.

Abstract:Text matching is the task of matching two texts and determining the relationship between them, which has extensive applications in natural language processing tasks such as reading comprehension, and Question-Answering systems. The mainstream approach is to compute text representations or to interact with the text through attention mechanism, which is effective in text matching tasks. However, the performance of these models is insufficient for texts that require commonsense knowledge-based reasoning. To this end, in this paper, We introduce a new model for text matching called the Knowledge Enhanced Text Matching model (KETM), to enrich contextual representations with real-world common-sense knowledge from external knowledge sources to enhance our model understanding and reasoning. First, we use Wiktionary to retrieve the text word definitions as our external knowledge. Secondly, we feed text and knowledge to the text matching module to extract their feature vectors. The text matching module is used as an interaction module by integrating the encoder layer, the co-attention layer, and the aggregation layer. Specifically, the interaction process is iterated several times to obtain in-depth interaction information and extract the feature vectors of text and knowledge by multi-angle pooling. Then, we fuse text and knowledge using a gating mechanism to learn the ratio of text and knowledge fusion by a neural network that prevents noise generated by knowledge. After that, experimental validation on four datasets are carried out, and the experimental results show that our proposed model performs well on all four datasets, and the performance of our method is improved compared to the base model without adding external knowledge, which validates the effectiveness of our proposed method. Abstract:Combined with the KBE-Based design of Turbo Expansion Engine, the acquisition, classi- fication, deduction and application about the knowledge was introduced on the theory of general knowledge database (GKDB). The deep-seated and the basic knowledge about it were analyzed. On the base of the normal knowledge based engineering, the new design method—the combination of general knowledge database and the knowledge fusion tools (KF) of CAD software was applied. A frame-based object description language was pro- posed to represent multiple domain knowledge. The SQL Server was applied as the platform of founding the GKDB, and the NX KF was used as the tools for the knowledge fusion in the CAD software. Special GKDB was founded in the KBE design system for the machine. The combination with the knowledge fusion tools was also achieved in the design.

Abstract:Question and answer is an important link in distance learning. The best way is using a Web answer machine. Current methods employ keywords and frequency of a question to match questions stored in the question database. The major drawback of this approach is that the precision is not very high while the quantity of questions which include the same keywords subset and similar frequency increases. The paper proposes an improved algorithm that takes different keywords' weight into account. The experiments show an improvement to current question matching algorithms merely based on keywords and frequency.

Abstract:The bipartite matching problem between companies and students of electronic job-broker is studied.Based on the HR(hospital-resident[1]) algorithm,the broker’s operation process model is presented.In order to solve the matching fairness of traditional HR algorithm,a multi-objective assignment model is constructed whose objectives are to maximize each part’s total satisfactory degree.Giving each objective the same weight,we turn the multi-objective problem into a single objective problem.Simulation shows that this multi-objective model surpasses HR algorithm in matching number,though it’s stability[2] is not very satisfying.

Abstract:This paper proposes a knowledge sharing and collaboration system model (InKB) based on the Internet. It gives a way to collaborate and share knowledge between Web-based knowledge systems. InKB model has three layers: data exchange layer, collaboration layer and knowledge-based application layer. The data exchange layer solves the problem of how to represent and manipulate knowledge. The collaboration layer devotes collaboration between servers over the Internet. The knowledge-based application layer defines the user interface for knowledge processing over the Internet, such as information searching, decision-support application and data mining. Data exchange between InKB Webs is in XML format, knowledge can be shared between heterogeneous knowledge bases, and knowledge can be remotely manipulated. Collaboration between InKBs is supported through a collaboration agent, which can find the resource the user wants in the InKB system. As an open system model, InKB can also support HTTP requests such as information retrieval and browsing.

Abstract:A knowledge model for knowledge base system in the Web environment is proposed, which includes problem description layer and knowledge layer. A knowledge base is made up of a set of knowledge models. Knowledge models are used to support knowledge representation and reasoning. Visual knowledge modeling tool and visual knowledge service tool based on Web environment realize the construction of knowledge base system in Web environment. The knowledge base system supports the construction of agricultural expert system. By comparison with CommonKADS, it is proved that this method can improve the efficiency of knowledge acquisition, management and maintenance in Web environment. This method also has the reference significance to the construction of the knowledge base system in the Web environment in other domains.

Abstract:The construction of knowledge base is the foundation for knowledge-based customer service institution (KBCSI) to store knowledge resource and achieve high efficiency service. In this paper, firstly the concepts and characteristics of knowledge base of KBCSI were introduced and analyzed. Secondly, an overall framework was proposed to build knowledge base for KBCSI, and then the processes of the construction and implementation in the proposed framework were further analyzed in detail. Finally, a case was given to prove the framework presented above on application value and practical significance. The research of our paper provides KBCSI with the guidance on Knowledge base construction both in theory and practice.

Abstract:The quality of knowledge base is important for knowledge intensive systems(KIS), such as expert systems and intelligent decision support systems. But over a long time, knowledge acquisition is a bottleneck in designing KIS due to the bad coordination between knowledge engineers and experts, which is limited by human epistemology level nowadays. To solve the problem, this paper utilizes some machine learning theories (mainly rough set theory) to get a rough knowledge base and then choose genetic algorithms, visualization technology, knowledge verification and validation technology to optimize it. We, in this way, build a new relation between knowledge engineers and experts in which experts play a decisive role while knowledge engineers are accessory, i.e., it is expert-oriented during the knowledge acquisition course.

Abstract:Long text brings a big challenge to neural network based text matching approaches due to their complicated structures. To tackle the challenge, we propose a knowledge enhanced hybrid neural network (KEHNN) that leverages prior knowledge to identify useful information and filter out noise in long text and performs matching from multiple perspectives. The model fuses prior knowledge into word representations by knowledge gates and establishes three matching channels with words, sequential structures of text given by Gated Recurrent Units (GRUs), and knowledge enhanced representations. The three channels are processed by a convolutional neural network to generate high level features for matching, and the features are synthesized as a matching score by a multilayer perceptron. In this paper, we focus on exploring the use of taxonomy knowledge for text matching. Evaluation results from extensive experiments on public data sets of question answering and conversation show that KEHNN can significantly outperform state-of-the-art matching models and particularly improve matching accuracy on pairs with long text.

Abstract:The use of external background knowledge can be beneficial for the task of matching schemas or ontologies automatically. In this paper, we exploit six general-purpose knowledge graphs as sources of background knowledge for the matching task. The background sources are evaluated by applying three different exploitation strategies. We find that explicit strategies still outperform latent ones and that the choice of the strategy has a greater impact on the final alignment than the actual background dataset on which the strategy is applied. While we could not identify a universally superior resource, BabelNet achieved consistently good results. Our best matcher configuration with BabelNet performs very competitively when compared to other matching systems even though no dataset-specific optimizations were made.

Abstract:Knowledge bases have shown their effectiveness in facilitating services like Web search and question-answering. Nevertheless, it remains challenging for ordinary users to fully understand the structure of a knowledge base and to issue structural queries. In many cases, users may have a natural language question and also know some popular (but not all) entities as sample answers. In this paper, we study the Reverse top-k Neighborhood Pattern Query problem, with the aim of discovering structural queries of the question based on: (i) the structure of the knowledge base, and (ii) the sample answers of the question. The proposed solution contains two phases: filter and refine. In the filter phase, a search space of candidate queries is systematically explored. The invalid queries whose result sets do not fully cover the sample answers are filtered out. In the refine phase, all surviving queries are verified to ensure that they are sufficiently relevant to the sample answers, with the assumption that the sample answers are more well-known or popular than other entities in the results of relevant queries. Several optimization techniques are proposed to accelerate the refine phrase. For evaluation, we conduct extensive experiments using the DBpedia knowledge base and a set of real-life questions. Empirical results show that our algorithm is able to provide a small set of possible queries, which contains the query matching the user question in natural language.
