Abstract:An effective diagnosis technology is crucial to the study and control of silkworm pebrine disease.With the development of PCR technology,it is currently possible to apply this technology in detecting silkworm pebrine disease.This review is given on the researches and applications of PCR assay technology on pebrine disease diagnosis.We discussed potential approaches to improve sensitivity and specificity of the diagnosis based on template DNA extraction and primer design etc.Furthermore,we proposed that silkworm egg production farms take the responsibility to diagnose pebrine disease among the mother moths and the provincial inspection and quarantine authorities assume the responsibility to supervise pebrine disease inspection and quarantine of silkworm egg products,both of which form the important prerequisite to apply such PCR assay technology in practical quality inspection of silkworm eggs production.

Abstract:Research and application of botanical pesticides, including plant chem ical defense, botanical pesticides, plant protestants, and tropical plant pestic ides are briefly reviewed. The research and application of botanical bactericide s and botanical herbicides are far less intensive and extensive compared with th e botanical insecticides. However, current researches indicates that a wide rang e of plants had the capacity of controlling weeds, bacteria and fungi. There is, therefore, a great prospect to exploit plant resources to develop bactericides, fungicides and herbicides.

Abstract:The traditional detection methods, including chromatography, immunoassays and etc., have considerable limitations, given the long period, high cost, and complicated operation. With the development of molecular imprinted polymer technique (MIP) and the microelectronics technology, molecular imprinted sensor technology has been established as a new pesticide detection method with the advantages of the ability to carry out rapid real-time detection, easy operation, high sensitivity, and good specificity. It has broad prospects for development. Up to now, it has been applied in the residue detection of most pesticides and a part of herbicides and plant growth regulators. According to the recent literatures, the preparation methods of MIPs sensors, and the applications of MIPs sensors combining with the electrochemical, optical and quality sensitive technology in the detection of pesticide are reviewed. The future research directions of MIPs sensors are briefly discussed.

Abstract:The improper use of chemical pesticides has resulted in serious environmental problems and food pollutions, affecting the ecosystem balance and human being health. There are more and more scientists and research institutions being engaged in the area of radioisotope tracer techniques for pesticide sciences in China. So far, more than 80 labeled compounds, including insecticides, fungicides, acaricides, herbicides, metabolic intermediates, fertilizer and biological agents, etc. have been synthesized at the laboratory for application of isotopes in Institute for Application of Atomic Energy, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Over past several years, the great achievements have been made in the researches of radioisotope tracer techniques and their applications to pesticide sciences in China, especially in the researches for isotopic labeling, residues, degradation and metabolism of pesticides in plant and animal, behavior and fate of pesticides in environment, and techniques for safe application of pesticide, and so on. The researches of radioisotope tracer techniques and their applications to pesticide sciences in China in the past years are briefly introduced. Some problems are put forward and the development in future is predicted also.

Abstract:Immuno-PCR (IPCR) ,a newly developed detecting technology,was established on the base of immunological research and PCR technique. Thus,it exhibits the characteristics of the high-specificity of ELISA and the high-sensitivity of PCR. In this review,the mechanism and reaction system of IPCR were introduced. By comparison of different IPCR technology and corresponding application areas,the existing problem and countermeasure of IPCR as well as the applications in food safety etc were summarized.
