Study on the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice about the Reproductive Health Knowledge and Influential Factors among Middle School Students in Macheng City

Abstract:Objectives To understand the reproductive health interrelated knowledge,attitudes,behaviors(KAP) and its influencing factors of adolescents in Macheng city.Methods Cluster random sampling method was used to select 1 953 students were from five middle schools.An anonymous questionnaire study on the students was conducted on-the-spot.Results the knowledge pass percentage of girls(59.7%) were higher than that of boys(54.0%) with a statistical significant differences(P0.05).Among middle school students,there were 33.5% boys who favored watch sex on TV,which was higher than that of girls(12.7%).There were 9.8% boys who favored sexual behavior,which was higher than that of girls(4.4%).The difference had statistical significance(P0.01).The incidence rate of sexual behavior was 1.9%(boys 2.2%,girls 1.5%).The multi-factor analysis indicated that the students lived in cities,enjoyed porn,and agreed with students' sexual behavior were more likely to had sexual behavior.Conclusions At present,the status of adolescents' reproductive health is poor.We should improve the education of the reproductive health knowledge on adolescents
