Abstract:Heart Transplantation is the most effective therapeutic method for end-stage severe heart disease,however,allograft rejection restrains recipients' long-term survival.Cardiac allograft vasculopathy,which is the major form of allograft rejection,was proved to be the leading cause of recipients’ mortality.Several methods could detect the existence of rejection,unfortunately they are invasive,and expensive,time-consuming.With advantages such as non-invasiveness and convenience,echocardiography turns out to be a promising screening method for heart disease.New methods such as tissue Doppler imaging,3-dimensional echocardiography,speckle traking imaging,stress echocardiography,and their combination are proved to be of great value in and screening of cardiac allograft rejection.
