STUDY ON THE INTERVENTION OF REPRODUCTIVE TRACT INFECTION OF RURAL FERTILE MARRIED WOMEN IN CHENGDU

Abstract:[Objective]To evaluate the results of the intervention measures of reproductive tract infection(RTI)to rural women in Xindu district of Chengdu. To improve and generalize the intervention mode.[Methods]350 married women in Majia township and Taixing township in Xindu district were selected by cluster sampling and investigated with the questionnaire.4 cadres of family planning were made in-depth interview.[Results]33.2% of the women had accepted the health education about reproduction. They favored the kind of education which were made during health examination or via the media,and they had 19.92 scores which was higher than non-health education women's 15.31 scores about RTI knowledge.17.6% of these rural women had the RTI symptom in pregnant period,and 53.8% of them in recent half year,18.1% of them had used condoms. Comparing the year of 2005 to 2002,the rate of RTI symptom occurring was lower,the scores of knowledge about RTI and the usage of condom were higher.[Conclusions]In the next process of generalizing the intervention mode,we should enlarge the range of intervention,educate husbands,and improve the cooperation with the family planning department.
