Abstract:The first cohomology group of generalized loop Virasoro algebras with coefficients in the tensor product of its adjoint module is shown to be trivial. The result is used to prove that Lie bialgebra structures on generalized loop Virasoro algebras are coboundary triangular. The authors generalize the results to generalized map Virasoro algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we study two -graded infinite Lie conformal algebras, which are closely related to a class of Lie algebras of the generalized Block type, and which both have a quotient algebra isomorphic to the Virasoro conformal algebra. We concretely determine their isomorphic mappings, conformal derivations, extensions by a one-dimensional center under some conditions, finite conformal modules and -graded free intermediate series modules.

Abstract:The notion of a generalized Lie bialgebroid (a generalization of the notion of a Lie bialgebroid) is introduced in such a way that a Jacobi manifold has associated a canonical generalized Lie bialgebroid. As a kind of converse, we prove that a Jacobi structure can be defined on the base space of a generalized Lie bialgebroid. We also show that it is possible to construct a Lie bialgebroid from a generalized Lie bialgebroid and, as a consequence, we deduce a duality theorem. Finally, some special classes of generalized Lie bialgebroids are considered: triangular generalized Lie bialgebroids and generalized Lie bialgebras.

Abstract:Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie algebras spanned by {L-n, Y-p, M-k vertical bar n, k is an element of Z, p is an element of 1/2 +Z} are annihilation algebras of Lie conformal algebras of rank three, which are widely studied by mathematicians and physicists. In this article, we introduce the notion of Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie conformal algebras. Using the pseudoalgebra language, we study the Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie conformal algebras and classify all Schrodinger-Virasoro Lie conformal algebras.

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduce the concept of symmetric biderivation radicals and characteristic subalgebras of Lie algebras, and study their properties. Based on these results, we precisely determine biderivations of some Lie algebras including finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras over arbitrary fields of characteristic not $2$ or $3$, and the Witt algebras $\mathcal{W}^+_n$ over fields of characteristic $0$. As an application, commutative post-Lie algebra structure on aforementioned Lie algebras is shown to be trivial.

Abstract:We generalize Lie bialgebras and Lie bialgebroids to new objects which we call generalized Lie bialgebras. Similar to Lie bialgebras and Lie bialgebroids, generalized Lie bialgebras are self-dual and generate canonically Hamiltonian structures on their representative spaces. We show that for a generalized Lie bialgebra (E, (E) over bar), a pair (L-1, L-2) of E + (E) over bar is again a generalized Lie bialgebra iff (L-1, L2) is a Dirac structure pair. Construction of generalized Lie bialgebras by using Poisson tensors and Hamiltonian operators are also discussed in detail and an example relating to an infinite-dimensional integrable system is given.

Abstract:In this paper we construct ternary $q$-Virasoro-Witt algebras which $q$-deform the ternary Virasoro-Witt algebras constructed by Curtright, Fairlie and Zachos using $su(1,1)$ enveloping algebra techniques. The ternary Virasoro-Witt algebras constructed by Curtright, Fairlie and Zachos depend on a parameter and are not Nambu-Lie algebras for all but finitely many values of this parameter. For the parameter values for which the ternary Virasoro-Witt algebras are Nambu-Lie, the corresponding ternary $q$-Virasoro-Witt algebras constructed in this article are also Hom-Nambu-Lie because they are obtained from the ternary Nambu-Lie algebras using the composition method. For other parameter values this composition method does not yield Hom-Nambu Lie algebra structure for $q$-Virasoro-Witt algebras. We show however, using a different construction, that the ternary Virasoro-Witt algebras of Curtright, Fairlie and Zachos, as well as the general ternary $q$-Virasoro-Witt algebras we construct, carry a structure of ternary Hom-Nambu-Lie algebra for all values of the involved parameters.

Representations of non-finitely graded Heisenberg-Virasoro type Lie algebras

Abstract:We construct and study non-finitely graded Lie algebras $\mathcal{HV}(a,b;\epsilon)$ related to Heisenberg-Virasoro type Lie algebras, where $a,b$ are complex numbers, and $\epsilon = \pm 1$. Using combinatorial techniques, we completely classify the free $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak h)$-modules of rank one over $\mathcal{HV}(a,b;\epsilon)$. It turns out that these modules are more varied and complex than those over non-finitely graded Virasoro algebras, and in particular admit infinitely many free parameters if $b=1$ and $\epsilon=-1$. Meanwhile, we also determine the simplicity and isomorphism classes of these modules.

Abstract:In this paper, we study representations of non-finitely graded Lie algebras $\mathcal{W}(\epsilon)$ related to Virasoro algebra, where $\epsilon = \pm 1$. Precisely speaking, we completely classify the free $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak h)$-modules of rank one over $\mathcal{W}(\epsilon)$,and find that these module structures are rather different from those of other graded Lie algebras. We also determine the simplicity and isomorphism classes of these modules.

Abstract:For an arbitrary calibrated Frobenius manifold, we construct an infinite dimensional Lie algebra, called the Virasoro-like algebra, which is a deformation of the Virasoro algebra of the Frobenius manifold. By using the Virasoro-like algebra we give a family of quadratic PDEs that are satisfied by the genus-zero free energy of the Frobenius manifold. We also derive, under the semisimplicity assumption, the Virasoro constraints for the corresponding abstract Hodge partition function.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce and study new classes of subVOAs of the lattice vertex operator algebras, which we call the conic, Borel, and parabolic-type subVOAs. These CFT-type VOAs, which are not necessarily strongly finitely generated, satisfy similar properties with the usual Borel and parabolic subalgebras of a Lie algebra. For the lowest-rank nontrivial example of Borel-type subVOA $V_{B}$ of $V_{\Z\al}$, we explicitly determine its Zhu's algebra $A(V_B)$ in terms of generators and relations.

Abstract:International Journal of Mathematics, Ahead of Print. The Schrödinger–Virasoro algebra was originally introduced during the process of investigating the free Schrödinger equations. In order to investigate vertex representations of the Schrödinger–Virasoro algebra, Unterberger introduced a new infinite-dimensional Lie algebra [math] called the extended Schrödinger–Virasoro algebra in the context of two-dimensional conformal field theory and statistical physics. In this paper, we study simple smooth modules over [math], which can be viewed as an extension of the Schrödinger–Virasoro algebra by a conformal current with conformal weight 1. More specifically, these modules are determined by simple modules over finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebras. Moreover, we present several equivalent descriptions for simple smooth modules over [math].
