Abstract:Modern politics is the era of party.The relation between party and leadership is the crucial factor which influences party politics.Party as the political organization which generates or impedes the leadership decides the domestic political efficiency and international influence of a state.This thesis tries to awake the slumbering political leadership through the comparative study on the relation between party and leadership in China,Japan and Singapore.It draws the conclusions as follows: 1) Weaken political leadership must lead the decline of a state;2) The erosion of tradition on the modern party must determine the fading of party.3) The combination of leadership-centered party and institutional party is the basic form of party politics and the transition from charismatic leadership to mission-oriented leadership is also an inevitable trend.

Abstract:A significant feature of corporate governance in China is the participation of party organizations, reflecting the involvement of the Chinese political party system in enterprises. Using a sample of A-share market listed central state government owned enterprises (hereinafter referred to as "CSOEs") from 2003 to 2020, this study examines the influence of China's political party system and state-owned assets supervision system on enterprise innovation. The empirical results show that the participation of party organizations in corporate governance can significantly promote CSOEs' innovation, especially in the case of CSOEs with weak state-owned assets supervision. The party organization's role in promoting innovation is mainly achieved through the board of directors and senior management, rather than through the cooperation of the board of supervisors. We also find that this role exists in both substantive and strategic innovations, but mainly exists in areas with weak market allocation resources. Our findings contribute to the literature examining the determinants of firm innovation, and have practical implications for corporate governance in developing countries.

Abstract:Modern party was one of the inevitable outcomes of modernization and big industrialization times.With the development of modernization,party politics have been increasingly transformed from congressional politics to public politics,which changed the modern party system from class party to public party.However,the great revolutions of transportation and communication technology,TV,Internet and airspace in particular,have deeply influenced modern industrial the society since the end of the Second World War Moreover,the United States and many other developed countries have gradually come into the so—called the post industrial society.The rising of the post industrial society changed the social structures and ideologies and promoted the social pluralism and diversification which have a great impact on modern party politics.Thercfoc,more and more western parties become active in emancipating their minds and accommodating the social changes.As a result,political marketing has been increasingly proved to be the new patterns of party politics in the post industrial society.The paper believes that the rising of political marketing will definitely promote the party politics to new orientations of marketing and professionalism.

Abstract:Parliament is the main place that political parties play their roles and grab. In the 2nd congressional election of the period of Min Guo, the election of political parties totally varied to the struggle between party groups. Kinds of party groups resorted to all kinds of means for the interest of their groups and abandoned the democratic and just spirit of election. As a result, bribe election, violation of the law and fraudulent practices, and powerless judicature relief went to the serious and common extreme. The framework of the modern western democratic system (system of representation, party politics, the election system, etc) was distorted again. This situation further destroyed countrymen’s confidence in the modern western democratic system that had been fragile and cast deep influence on the political development in the latter periods of Beiyang and Nanjing National Government.

Abstract:The "representativeness"is the core concept which includes political diversities.Only the political parties with extensive representation can obtain the ruling status,since the organization with a powerful ideology system but no representativeness,can not be any stronger.It is on behalf of a certain class and bounds to become a sectarian model.Political parties survive by obtaining the legitimacy from representativeness but get the direction to progress due to the growth of representative power.They can identify the representativeness by themselves but need make great efforts to fight for their representative power.The political parties based on representative power should bond themselves with social groups closely and strongly.At the same time,they should also concern the interests of different groups in the political society,and response to the needs timely.And that is precisely the common goal of all kinds of parties to develop.

Abstract:Political Studies Review, Ahead of Print. Linking society and politics has been one of political parties' key functions in democracies around the world. Groups within political parties, like factions, auxiliary organisations and territorial party branches, have been important for parties to build such linkages because they help incorporate voters', members' and elites' interests. However, although intra-party groups have figured prominently in many studies, scholars often encountered difficulties when seeking to distinguish between them. Missing conceptual clarity is consequential because it has made communicating results across studies difficult and thus posed an obstacle to accumulating knowledge. This review brings together the literature on factionalism and party organisation to enhance conceptual clarity. Groups' organisational pervasiveness and flexibility allow distinguishing between factions, camps, auxiliary organisations and party branches. The article ends with suggestions for how to put the typology to work.

Abstract:Organization scholars have extensively studied both the politics of organization and the organization of politics. Contributing to the latter, we argue for further and deeper consideration of political parties, since: (1) parties illuminate organizational dynamics of in- and exclusion; (2) internal struggles related to the constitution of identities, practices and procedures are accentuated in parties; (3) the study of parties allow for the isolation of processes of normative and affective commitment; (4) parties prioritize and intensify normative control mechanisms; (5) party organizing currently represents an example of profound institutional change, as new (digital) formations challenge old bureaucratic models. Consequently, we argue that political parties should be seen as ‘critical cases’ of organizing, meaning that otherwise commonplace phenomena are intensified and exposed in parties. This allows researchers to use parties as magnifying glasses for zooming-in on organizational dynamics that may be suppressed or concealed by the seemingly non-political façade of many contemporary organizations. In conclusion, we argue that organization scholars are in a privileged position to investigate how political parties function today and how their democratic potential can be improved in the future. To this end, we call on Organization and Management Studies to engage actively with alternative parties in an attempt to explore and promote progressive change within the formal political system.

Abstract:This essay starts from two premises: that, as far as the articulation and mobilization of popular interest in the countryside are concerned, the “best teams won” in the Chinese and the Vietnamese revolutions; but that, after the success of the revolution, the popularity and responsiveness of the regimes to the people became more problematic. Together, these premises imply a shift in the relationship of party to people between the revolutionary and postrevolutionary stages. That such a shift occurred in China and Vietnam is not obvious; there were significant continuities of personnel, policies, and ideology across the revolutionary divide. I shall argue that, despite the continuities, the rational basis of party-mass relations was deeply affected by victory. Indeed, the very continuities helped mask a structural flaw in the new regimes that has induced current political and economic reforms.

Abstract:This article focuses on the issues related to the socio-political consequences of digital transformation of society, in particular, the evolutionary development of political parties. To reveal the general trends of such transformation, the author bases her thesis on the analysis of post-industrial theorists, and sets out the following basic guidelines for party building: unprecedented development of science and technology, influence of symbolic knowledge on the system of power distribution; increased role of information flows, diversification of information transmission forms; demassification of society and its network organisation; destruction of former identities, erosion of classes and social groups; deconstruction of ideologies, their transformation into applied political technologies; shift of political activity to Internet platforms and media space. Considering the impact of these factors, and using the methodology of comparing political parties proposed by K.Janda, the author sets out her view on the features of institutionalisation, problem orientation, social support, organisational complexity, centralisation of power, autonomy, coherence, involvement, strategy and tactics, governmental status of political parties in post-industrial society.

Abstract:Abstract The aim of this contribution is twofold: first, to verify empirically how and to what extent party organizations vary within countries, in time; second, to enhance the role of political factors in explaining organizational variance. While mainstream literature has generally overestimated cross-national party convergence, a renewed interest in the study of variance has recently gained ground. We thus focus on seven European countries, from 1990 to 2010, by combining party organizational data from the Party Organization Data Handbook and the Political Party Database Project, with domestic cultural, socioeconomic, technological data from the European Values Survey and the World Bank, as well as supranational economic data provided by the OECD. We are interested in verifying how much of the variance in party organizations can be explained by resorting to the parameters of the party systems vis-à-vis domestic and supranational extra-political factors. Our results show that the explanatory power of party systems’ parameters is stronger than the predictive ability of contextual variables.

Abstract:Modernization gave birth to party politics, and party politics dominates modernization. Their correlation and interaction have been a major logic behind the evolution of human civilization since the beginning of modern times. The objectivity of China's modernization gives rise to the historical inevitability of party politics, and its relevance to the Chinese nation and to the current time dictates that party politics should be socialist in China and that its development is an irreversible trend. In the Chinese revolution, in the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and in the modernization of China over the past century, to accomplish the historic task of national rejuvenation, Chinese socialist party politics has profoundly changed the course of Chinese history, making Chinese society strive for modernization and causing great changes in the contemporary world. During this process, Chinese socialist party politics has had a "distinct fundamental value orientation," followed "the premise of essential theoretical guidance," enjoyed "dominant institutional support," provided "goal-oriented value guidance" and received a "crucial political guarantee." It has combined its own values with China's modernization and played a leading role in this drive. It has pursued the most deep-seated values, demonstrated the most unique characteristics of practice, and made the most significant contribution to civilization. All this is a key element of the experience and theory of the interaction between modernization and Chinese socialist party politics. It also provides crucial support for and guides the value of strengthening the Communist Party of China (CPC) and modernizing China.

Abstract:Under unique institutional background, the governance of China’s state-owned enterprise (SOE) has a distinctive characteristic. The paper aims at researching the impact of Chinese Communist Party’s participation in external governance on the innovation of China’s state-owned enterprises. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection began to inspect the central state-owned enterprises. The paper uses the political event as natural experiment to research the impact of inspections on corporate innovation, which is an important external mechanism of corporate governance. Through the test of multi-period difference-to-differences (DID) model, the empirical results show that the inspection of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection promoted the innovation of central state-owned enterprises.
