Abstract:[Objective] To survey and identify the knowledge and risk behaviors concerning HIV /AIDS among drug abusers to provide basis for constituting AIDS prevention measures in risk groups in Yibin.[Methods] The crosssectional study was carried out among drug abusers in Yibin.All individuals were phlebotomized 5ml blood to inspect HIV /AIDS virus.[Results] Educational background of drug abusers was on the low side,a lot of them were out of work.Infection rate was 2%,higher than the average of common men in the whole country.They almost knew the route of transmission on HIV,but there were still some mistakes.The rate on syringe sharing of drug abusers with higher score was lower than whom with lower score and the rate on using condom of drug abusers with higher score was higher than whom with lower score.[Conclusion] We should publicize knowledge of HIV powerfully,set up clinic of Methadone and expand 100% using condom and other measures to reduce the infection risk of HIV in drug abusers.
