Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristic and actual operation effects of admission and discharge procedure information management in nurse station,and analyze admission and discharge procedure information management impacted on doctor-patient relationship.Methods The comparison were conducted before and after the utilization of admission and discharge procedure information management from April to October 2014 in changing the number of people using information management,satisfaction comparison of using information management, quantization reacting the impacts of information management on doctor-patient relationship.Results After the implementation of information management,the satisfactions of patients were 96.5%,93.6%,98.2%,97.8% for admission procedure,service attitude,payment method,acquirement of medical information,which all were higher than that of the control group (P <0.05 ).After information management,the rates of admission and discharge via the process of information management were 84.21% and 83,41%.Conclusions The admission and discharge information management of the nurses′station simplified the procedure of patient′s admission and discharge,so as to improve the patient′s satisfaction of hospitalization.

Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect and the problems of the comprehensive application of quality management tools in order to improve nursing quality and ensure patient safety.Methods To summarize the implementation of Plan,Do,Check,Action(PDCA),quality control circle(QCC),root cause analysis(RCA),healthcare failure mode and effect analysis(HFMEA) in the nursing quality improvement.Aiming at problems arising in application process,the measures such as systematic training of quality management knowledge,case demonstration,standardized evaluation throughout the whole process,holding competition activities,inviting experts to give immediate guidance were applied.Results Among 1 798 PDCA and QCC programs,the result of 1 795 programs reached the target value,3 substandard programs reached the expected outcome finally after cause analysis,procedure break down and adjust of improvement contents.No nursing error or adverse events occurred.The indicators of nursing quality improved and patient satisfaction was 98.58％,which got the third position among all national hospitals.Conclusions The comprehensive application of four quality management tools was helpful in enhancing the effect of nursing quality improvement.

Abstract:The quality of healthcare service in inpatient departments of general hospitals is directly correlated with the satisfaction of the patients and it is an important influential factor of hospital performance. Based on interviews with sampled inpatients and their family members in a general hospital in Hangzhou, the service needs were collected and was graded as to their importance. Quality function deployment method was used to extract the quality improvement factors and the importance degree, based on which we found the most significant service improvement measures are the establishment of patient evaluation system, the reasonable arrangements of physical examinations, the inpatient environment improvement and rational distribution of the different departments.

Abstract:Objectives:To analyze the present situation and existing problems of organization structure of medical quality management in China,and provide the basis for further improvement.Methods:10 general public hospitals of Shenzhen were selected to have a self-designed questionnaire and statistics analysis were done according to the data.Results:It shows that all the selected hospitals have set three tiers medical quality management structure.Awareness rate of the functions of medical quality management organizational structure is better in district level hospitals than that of in municipal hospitals.Organizational structure of medical quality management plays well in both district level and municipal level hospitals.All the hospitals want to set up and improve medical quality management information system.Compared to the district level hospitals,municipal level hospitals take more expectation on more professional medical quality management staff.Conclusions:Improving the framework of quality management organizational structure,post setting and work responsibilities,making more efforts on staff training and human resources introduction,building total quality management information system based on cloud computing can provide an objective and unified platform for medical quality management and supervision.

Abstract:Objective To find out problems in quality management of the clean operation department and strengthen the management to ensure the effective operation through the analysis of the monitoring results of comprehensive performance and management status of the clean operation department of the affiliated hospitals.Methods Retrospective analysis of inspection data of the clean operation department was done to find out problems and weak links in quality management and propose effective measures for improvement.Results There are still certain defects in management of clean operation department,it is necessary to strengthen the management and carry out regular monitoring.Conclusion The management of clean operation department involves multi-specialty,multi-disciplinary and multi-department.This is a challenge to hospital infection management.Corresponding scientific and rational management measures should be established to ensure the safe operation of the clean operation department.

Abstract:BACKGROUND: Ensuring medical quality and safety is the perpetual focus of healthcare management. Hospitals must prioritize quality management for sustainable growth. However, the complexity of quality management in hospitals, coupled with evolving practices, presents challenges. Achieving the integration of economic, environmental, and social benefits for high-quality development remains difficult. While quality management practices are acknowledged as strategic tools, their impact on job satisfaction, competitive advantage, and sustainable performance is not yet fully understood. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research was to empirically demonstrate the relationship between quality management practices, job satisfaction, competitive advantage, and sustainable performance. METHODS: The study uses a quantitative research method. A questionnaire survey was conducted in Guangxi, China, among 171 quality management executives in secondary and tertiary hospitals, and the proposed research model was validated using PLS-SEM. RESULTS: The results showed that quality management practices have positive direct and indirect effects on sustainable performance, confirming the partial mediating role of job satisfaction, and competitive advantage in the relationship between quality management practices and sustainable performance. CONCLUSIONS: This study addresses a gap in quality management literature by exploring the relationship between quality management practices, job satisfaction, competitive advantage, and sustainable performance. Findings reveal that higher implementation of quality management practices correlates with increased job satisfaction, stronger competitive advantage, and enhanced sustainable performance in hospitals. These results suggest that implementing quality management practices can boost job satisfaction, enhance competitive advantage, and promote sustainable performance, offering valuable insights for hospital leaders.

Abstract:To further enhance the overall service quality of China’s hospitals and improve the trust of the majority of patients in hospitals, this paper takes intelligent hospital management as the object of study, analyzes the importance of electronic information engineering technology applied in hospital management, and discusses the specific application methods of electronic information engineering in hospital management. This aims the existing problems in the current hospital management, such as insufficient degree of informatization, data sharing difficulties, lack of professionals, etc. Corresponding improvement measures are proposed, including strengthening the construction of informatization, promoting data sharing, and cultivating professionals. It is hoped that this study will enable the majority of hospital managers to make better use of electronic information engineering technology to effectively solve the current problems faced by hospitals and to continuously improve the comprehensive competitiveness of China’s hospitals.

Abstract:In order to understand the status quo of health resource allocation, problems in discipline development and attitude towards resources horizontal integration, this study has conducted questionnaire survey in 24 tertiary hospitals with 367 heads of department. Results revealed that there was coexistence of deficiency and excess in discipline resource allocation in public hospitals. The significant challenges for discipline development were poor talent team construction and lack of influencing experts. It is suggested that the head of hospital and administrative department should attach great importance to discipline development and give special support in the aspect of human resource system and financial investment.

Abstract:Objective: To understand the cognition and experience of obstetrical staff to hospital complaint management in Shanghai city. Methods: A questionnaire survey was performed in partial obstetricians and obstetrical nurses from twenty- nine maternity hospitals in Shanghai city in 2012. Results: Among the respondents,45. 6% of them knew Measures for the Administration of Patient Complaints in Hospitals,and the awareness rates varied in different occupations,positions,working years,and categories of hospitals; 89. 4% of them thought hospital complaint management was important,81. 7% of them expressed their willing to cooperate with patient's complaint handling, 48. 9% of them personally participated in the handling process of patients' complaint,the respondents who were complained by patients accounted for 36. 5%. Conclusion: It is necessary to enhance related education and training about Measures for the Administration of Patient Complaints in Hospitals among the obstetric staff,establish a learning process from complaints and improve health service.

Abstract:The characteristics of medical conducts,such as the specialization,the diversification and the limitation of live monitoring,call for hospital managers pay more attention to the quality management of the clinical departments,the quality of treatment procedure will impact on the overall quality of a hospital.A survey of 39 managers of clinical departments found that the major problems of current quality management reflected in the defects of the quality management organizations,the failure to comply with core medical rules,and so on.It is suggested that placing great emphasis on the quality management of clinical departments,establishing sound management organizations,strengthening internal management system and improving hospital quality management measures will continuously promote the quality management of a hospital.

Abstract:Objective To analyze community medical staff's' opinion on merits and shortcomings of hospital information management and needs for it application.Methods The series of quantitative and qualitative methods including questionnaire survey,focus group discussion and in-depth interview were conducted among 103 community medical staff members of a tertiary hospital's community clinic department in Beijing.The investigating contents were their recognition and attitude of information management,and their views and suggestions of clinic doctor working station now popularly utilized by the hospital.Results Totally,the community medical staff had a welcoming and accepting attitude on the hospital information management;However,the facility and stability of the system itself,accessibility of information,the medical staff's attitude on the information management,their proficiency level in computer operation and usage coast,and the hospital's efforts were all the factors to utilization of clinical doctor working station.Conclusion It should be active to take actions in optimization of software system and hardware equipments,staff training,reinforcement of medical affaires and logistic management.The introduction and development of hospital information management software should be demand-oriented,and involve relevant personnel all long.
