Abstract:This paper presented a secure file transfer scheme which took advantage of BitTorrent very well.BitTorrent was popular in the Internet for its advantage of sharing files,but there existed some security issues,e.g.,shared files could be accessed by malicious users.Thus,introduced a symmetric cryptography and authentication scheme into BitTorrent.The shared files are encrypted symmetrically before transferring to users through BitTorrent,and the decryption key of the downloaded files will be delivered to users after authentication.Then the validated user could decrypt the ciphertext and get the original plain texts.Evaluation vesults show that the proposed scheme can achieve fast and secure file distribution.

Abstract:The archives management and transmission of medical images which are the key technologies of PACS are studied.Based on the DICOM standard,a three-tier medical image database system is builded.The system realized effective query,on-line display and long-range transmission of medical images with FTP transport protocols.The research work offered a technical support for telemedicine and had certain value on the constructing of modern digital hospital.

Abstract:The popularity of enterprise cloud storage is rapidly growing. A number of Internet service vendors and providers, such as Google, Baidu and Microsoft, entered this emerging market and released a variety of cloud storage services. These services allow people to access work documents and files all over the world at anytime. Interestingly, with the prevalence of mobile Internet, rich media becomes regular and popular. More and more people use cloud storage for keeping their personal photos, music and movies. Nevertheless, the size of the media files is often beyond the upper limit that normal form-based file upload service allows hence dedicated large-file upload services are required to be developed and deployed. Although many cloud vendors offer versatile cloud storage services, very little is known about the detailed development and deployment of the large-file upload services. This paper proposes a complete solution of large-file upload service, with the contributions in manifold: Firstly, we do not limit the maximum size of a large file that can be uploaded. This is extremely practical for storing huge database resource files generated from ERP tools. Secondly, we developed large-file upload service APIs that have very strict verification of correctness, to reduce the risk of data inconsistency, which has better safety. Thirdly, we extend the service developed recently for team collaboration with the capability of handling large files. Fourthly, this paper is arguably the first one that formalizes the testing and deployment procedures of large-file upload services with the help of Docker. In general, most largefile upload services are exposed to the public, facing security and performance issues, which brings much concern. With the proposed Docker-based deployment strategy, we can replicate the large-file upload service agilely and locally, to satisfy massive private or local deployment of KDrive. Finally, we evaluate and analyze the proposed strategies and technologies in accordance to the experimental results. Abstract:Applications like cooperative CAD and virtual touring on Web need to transfer a scene consisting of models and textures from one computer to another. However, the scene may be very large, and the time to transfer the whole scene is significant. During transferring, the user has to wait until the whole scene is downloaded to the local machine. We propose a new approach to estimate the visual importance of each object or even each polygon and a method that selectively transfer the models and textures in the scene. In this way, we can reduce user-waiting time while keeping the image quality the user can see.

Whatpsilas more, when the amount of user using the upload and download modules increases, it will put a big pressure on the Websitepsilas server in term of bandwidth. To solve these problems, this paper designed and implemented a Web resource supporting platform-WFMS (Web File Management System) which can provide a unified interface for multiple Wbsites to upload, download and manage resources professionally, and decrease the developing costs and bandwidth pressure as well.

Abstract:In people's daily lives, electronic mail, audio-visual media platforms, and communication software all have the need for file transmission. This article proposes a digital aggregation system with an adaptive collaborative transmission mechanism. By using traditional UDP and TCP transmission protocols, the file transmission method is adaptively adjusted based on the file type, file size, and network conditions of the device. Through these selection parameters, the file has the most suitable and optimized transmission and upload mode during the transmission process. This article proposes a transmission mode that combines transmission speed and file integrity, systematically examining the existing transmission environment and improving traditional transmission protocols. The communication protocol method proposed through this method is 2.5% faster than traditional transmission protocols for image file transmission. Compared to traditional transmission protocols, the transmission speed of audio files is 1.07% faster. Compared to traditional transmission protocols, video file transmission speed is 1.21% faster. This study adopts a collaborative communication transmission mechanism, which accelerates the transmission speed of multiple clients obtaining files from the server by 1.2% compared to a non-collaborative communication transmission mechanism. The client can still connect to the server at a slower time. This mechanism can accelerate download speed and make it easier to obtain files. Combining with the transmission platform, examining the environmental conditions of the device can be applied to optimize the transmission between servers and clients. As users grow, cooperative communication can be used to accelerate the speed of file acquisition.

Designing a Secure Device-to-Device File Transfer Mechanism

Abstract:Secure, reliable, and fast transfer of files across the Internet is a problem attempted to be solved through many application-layer protocols. In this paper, we aim to design a secure, reliable, opendesign, and performant file transfer protocol that is inspired by the WebRTC protocol stack. Traditionally, transferring files involves a publicly exposed (available on the public network) third-party server that serves the uploaded files to the receiver. Here, the third party server has to bear the storage and bandwidth cost to transfer the files between the two parties. We propose a protocol that uses a relay server to relay the files from the client to the server. A relay server has several advantages over a regular file-hosting server. Firstly, a relay server does not retain the uploaded files, it simply relays them. Secondly, a relay server has a full-duplex communication channel and therefore the receiver is not required to wait for the sender to upload the files completely. In this paper, we study available file transfer approaches and their known flaws. We propose our idea and compare our stack with the WebRTC stack. Finally, we perform empirical analysis and, benchmark our device-to-device transfer approach along with other available options including WebRTC.

Improving the System Capacity by Client Cooperation in Distributed File Service

Abstract:We have investigated the workload of a campus wide distributed file service. The observation is that hot files are downloaded many times within a short period of time. To reduce the server overhead, we employed a client side cooperation module in the system. The client side cooperation module can get file data from other clients instead of directly download data from data servers. The applied mechanism can significantly reduce server load that is critical to system scalability. Thus, this distributed file service can support more users with the same amount of servers while keeping or improving user experiences. We verified the proposed mechanism in the file service system with over 5000 registered users. Results show that, in the environment of campus network, server load can be reduced by up to 30%. The chunk response latency can be reduced by 90% percent and gives a significant boost to the client side download speed.

Abstract:With the Web-based distributed file storage systems increasingly being used for file storage and sharing, there is a growing need to provide high level of availability and quality of services. In this paper, we discuss the feasibility of introducing session management into layered distributed file storage systems. We improve the traditional client - Web server - storage server infrastructure by inserting session management layer into web servers. We also propose the strategy of leveraging session management to implement session migration and service continuation in a completely client-transparent fashion. Performance evaluation on the prototype implementation demonstrates that our approach is efficient and the overhead is reasonably small.

Abstract:The efficiency of file distribution in large-scale data processing platform is essential besides system security. Traditional CIFS file sharing method cannot meet the requirement due to its lack of security and ability to distribute fragile files. This paper introduces an innovated file distribution mechanism based on Netty framework. It utilizes zero-copy mode provided by Netty, along with multi-thread asynchronous communication. Experiment shows that it outperforms CIFS in real-time applications.

Abstract:With the advance to a cloud era,there are more emerging web-based applications.Email service still has a special standing in the rank of Internet services.A large volume of emails are stored on the server end.When a mail is being transferred between hosts,it or part of its contents would have already existed on terminal.Based on this observation,a proposalis put up to save bandwidth.Both mail message format and SMTP protocol are expanded to transfer mail text and attachments later sequentially in a transaction.Hash values of attachments are computed first.They are transferred to server end as a part of mail text.Server end will determine whether an attachment need transfer or not based on hash values.
