Abstract:Objective To study the influence of adipectomy on blood glucose,leptin and adiponectin in rats with alimentary obesity. MethodsAn obese model was created in male rats by feeding with high fat diet,which were then divided into operartion group and control group.The rats in operation group underwent resection of fat surrounding epididymis and kidney,and those in the control group,seperation of fat only was done.The differences of the levels of blood glucose,leptin and adiponectin were measured and compared between the two groups,pre-and postoperatively. ResultsThe concentration of all the above items was significantly different on day 15 after surgery between the two groups,except leptin(t=4.25-13.34,P0.01). ConclusionResection of a great quantity of fat can lower the blood sugar level in rats with alimentary obesity,raise serum adiponectin,and reduce serum leptin within a short period of time.
