Abstract:This paper emphasizes the hardware design and realization of video encoding/decoding system.The high performance system based on TMS320DM642 comprises digital video encoder/decoders(TVP5150 SAA7105) and other important peripheral circuits.The architecture of system and function modules are described,and some solutions are given for the problems according to the practice.In the end,the application foreground and improvement of the system are introduced.

Abstract:Aiming at the requirements of high real-time and small storage space in embedded video surveillance Graphical User Interface(GUI) system.This paper presents a design of real-time On Screen Display(OSD) for video surveillance based on Nano-X.Microwindows is transplanted and tailored on the PowerPC platform.In order to improve the system in real time,Direct Memory Access(DMA) is used to help the PCI transmission.The region’s changes are judged to realize the GUI data’s refresh,and the mouse layer is blended through DM6467’s VDCE module.Experimental tests show that the maximum value of OSD display time for single-frame is adapted to 37.98 ms,and the blending time of mouse is down to 13.6 ms,reaching the requirement of refresh’s speed about 25 f/s.

Abstract:The Session Initiation Protocol(SIP) was used in signal control of video surveillance system.The system's two modules: video server and video client were proposed.With ARM+DSP dual core structure,the video server can implement sampling,coding,compressing and network transferring task.Based on the windows,the client part can implement video data receiving,managing,storing and user interface.The implementation of SIP in signal control in system was described in detail.

Abstract:In this paper,according to the characteristics of TI's TMS320DM6437 platform,a video system is implemented based on an open source H.264 encoder X264.TI's DSP/BIOS system is used to speed up the development process.This multithread video system implements video capture,video encode,transmission,video decode and video display.Experimental results show that,after making full use of DSP/BIOS system and setting up the thread schedule,the entire system can run at a high speed and the development time can be reduced significantly.

Abstract:Based on an ARM and DSP dual-processor embedded platform, we design a digital video recorder (DVR) which uses PCI bus interface. This paper realizes the development of BSP from scratch, the main achievements are the building of the development environment, the development of Bootloader and OAL, and ultimately compiled the eboot.nb0 and nk.nb0 running on the development board. The design of device driver and application program is introduced. This recorder can encode video streams and transfer them to the host in real time and store to local hard-disk. Thus it is convenient to complete the functions of remote monitoring system.

Abstract:A wireless video transmission system is designed and implemented based on TI DaVinci chip OMAP3530.This chip uses a ARM+DSP dual-core design,and also uses the module MC8630A of the third-generation network CDMA20001x.The testing results show that the system can effectively solve the shortage of bandwidth in the second-generation wireless networks in the video transmission.

Abstract:Moving target detection and tracking, recognition, behaviors analysis are the key issues in the intelligent visual surveillance system (IVSS). The challenge is how to process the real-time video stream in an effective way in case that we could find the interested objects for analysis. However, the traditional video surveillance technology often does not meet the needs of real-time key frame recognition for the on-line intelligent video monitoring system. In our paper, we adopt the state-of-the-art Faster R-CNN [7] that takes advantages of convolutional neural networks into our real-time target recognition system -Deep Intelligent Visual Surveillance (DIVS). The key aspects of our DIVS are consisted of four parts: (i) Getting the real-time video images from remote cameras; (ii) Processing the data with the deep learning framework caffe [23] built for Faster R-CNN; (iii) Storing the valuable data with MySQL; (iv) Data presentation on the website. Experiments based on our system validated the effectiveness, stability and accuracy of our proposed solutions.

Abstract:Develop mobile video surveillance system terminal based on 3G network using Davinci Arm+DSP dual-core platform.Divide the codec function from upper-layer application,and make them run in parallel to promote the system efficiency.Build connection between platform and 3G network,optimize the software complement of transmission strategy to 3G hybrid network.The result of the simulation shows that the surveillance system can provide information shared by supervisors in heterogeneous network,adapt to the complicated package loss situation in simulative 3G network,and minimize the damage to the quality of video streaming.

The principle of video surveillance system and the implementation of hardware and software modules are explained. The design of audio and video coding module is emphasized. Abstract:Based on the most popular and widely acknowledged framework for embedded digital video system-Davinci framework,this paper adopts Davinci technology typical processor-TMS320DM6446 as hardware platform,constructs a streaming media server.The streaming media server system can implement real-time coding,video storage,real-time supervision and remote control,which makes use of H.264,MPEG4 and AVS as video compression standard,the G.711 and G.728 as audio compression standard,the SIP as access control protocol,the RTP/RTCP/RTSP and UDP as multimedia control and transport protocol.The system has high performance and coding efficiency,low cost and delay time and hard real-time advantages,and it can affluently run in wide area network.

TMS320DM642 is utilized as the CPU to implement the H.264 coding of images, the network transferring and local storing of coded data. The system architecture and flow are presented, and the software and hardware design and implementation of the image acquisition module and network interface module are described in detail. Finally the system performance is given.

Abstract:Aimed at design of high reliable video monitor systems,an embedded network video server with respect to its hardware architecture which is based on H.264 codec standard running on DM642 is introduced.The fixed-point chip DM642 is introduced firstly.Then the hardware structure,the software design scheme and the internet transport are explained particularly.Moreover,based on the custom operations of DM642,taking reference of the algorithm proposed in literature,the programs are optimized.The experimental results show that this algorithm performs an excellent compression efficiency,and is feasible with the need of real time video monitor systems.

Abstract:This paper developed a network video server based on Freescale video processing chip IMX27 running on the Linux operating environment,and short connection was used to complete the interaction between the server and clients,which effectively saved system resources and reduced the CPU utilization of the sever.Moreover,in order to obtain high quality video images,the server adopted an adaptive de-interlacing algorithm based on the use of splicing and interpolation of static and moving picture respectively to realize de-interlacing of the video image,therefore the integrity of the video data was guaranteed and the video clarity was improved.In the end,an application case of the server was given,which achieved the desired designed goal.

Abstract:This paper designs a Graphic User Interface ( GUI ) system based on DaVinci video stream to achieve displaying GUI in the DaVinci embedded system. It modifies DaVinci-Vpif’ s Linux kernel driver,so that it can support multi-buffer-queue shared between user layer and kernel layer. Add Enhanced Direct Memory Access( EDMA) supports to Vpif’ s Linux kernel driver which enables buffer scheduling automatically. On this basis,this paper brings out a well-designed multi-GUI system that works at the user layer, which gets an embedded GUI interface but need not rely on Framebuffer. The system not only supports the processing of the video stream,but also supports smooth switching between video stream based GUI system and video processing system. Results of this study can be used in a DaVinci-based video processing system to provide a graphical user interface for configuring parameters. The GUI system works well with less resource consumption and high efficiency.

Abstract:Traditional mobile video surveillance systems adopt general video compression standard such as MPEG-4,H.264,etc.,it is hard to meet the specific security-monitoring demand.In view of this,we design a video surveillance platform upon 3G smartphone,which is based on SVAC security video standard.The client of smartphone surveillance calls self-developed SVACDecoder library function to realise SVAC video decoding through JNI mechanism.It also uses multi-image display to realise multi-channel video surveillance,as well as uses multithread coding to increase the running speed of software.RTP/RTCP transport protocol is used for the transmission of video data to ensure real-time performance and quality of video.It is demonstrated by the prototype test system constructed that it can achieve fluent and stable real-time surveillance,and meets the security-monitoring demands such as ROI (region of interest)coding,layered coding,optimised coding under variable light environment and so on.

Abstract:In this paper, we have designed and implemented a new video surveillance system based on CDMA networks. It consists of a central server and a number of remote units, and each unit has four video channels. The remote unit encodes and stores the video images locally, and then transmits the encoded video stream to the central server via CDMA networks. To make the system efficiently work, we used modified H.263 algorithms and designed a video transmission protocol. We use the last good frame as reference image to avoid slowing down the frame rate. The experiments show that the maximum bit-rate could reach 70Kbits/s. We have achieved a maximum frame rate at 6 frames/s with PSNR above 30 DBS. Since the system will be running in a wireless environment, fault tolerance, error correction and system stability are major concerns in software design and implementations.
