Abstract:Aimed at design of high reliable video monitor systems,an embedded network video server with respect to its hardware architecture which is based on H.264 codec standard running on DM642 is introduced.The fixed-point chip DM642 is introduced firstly.Then the hardware structure,the software design scheme and the internet transport are explained particularly.Moreover,based on the custom operations of DM642,taking reference of the algorithm proposed in literature,the programs are optimized.The experimental results show that this algorithm performs an excellent compression efficiency,and is feasible with the need of real time video monitor systems.
