Abstract:With the recently obtained vacuum configuration of the bilocal field, we have calculated the decay constant f(sigma) of sigma-meson in a quantum chromodynamics-based model field theory. Abstract:With the recently obtained vacuum configuration of the bilocal field, the decay constant f and mass m of the ��-meson had been discussed in the global color symmetry model (GCM), which was a quantum chromodynamics (QCD)based model field theory. The obtained value of =60MeV, this is quite close to the value f=36MeV obtained by Cahill et al., and the result of m is 518MeV, which is within the scope of experimental estimation (500-700 MeV) and is very close to the theoretical prediction (520-550 MeV). The above comparison shows that the results are rather reasonable and this can be taken as a support to the new approach to determine the bilocal field in GCM.

Abstract:The property of σ-meson or f0 (400-1200) is studied in the general color symmetry model (GCM) for quantum chromodynamics. With recent determined values of mσ, fσ and fπ in GCM, the isoscalar ππ S-wave amplitude is calculated without any free parameter. The T-matrix pole for f0 (400-1200) is found to be 1011- i 284 MeV, which is very close to the Particle Data Group value (400-1200)-i (300-500) MeV.

Abstract:It is shown in this paper that the vacuum configuration of the bilocal field in the global color symmetry model (GCM) can be calculated in the instanton dilute liquid approximation. As only the excitation of Goldstone bosons is taken into account, the relative motion against the vacuum is equivalent to the dynamical mass of a quark. The bilocal field generating the mesons a and a in the GCM is then determined. With the determined bilocal field and the effective action, the masses and the decay constants of the mesons a and a, and the decay width of sigma --> pi pi are calculated in the GCM. The calculated results agree with experimental data quite well.

Abstract:Through theoretical derivation, the vacuum configuration of the bilocal field in GCM is equivalent to dynamical mass of quarks. Under the approximation of instanton dilute liquid. an analytical expression for the vacuum configuration is obtained. Based on it, the decay constants and masses of π and σ mesons are calculated. The results are much more improved than those given by the previous GCM calculations.

Abstract:The light scalar meson nonet above 1 GeV ({\it i.e.\}the $a_{0}$, $K^{\ast}_{0}$ and $f_{0}$) are studied within the framework of QCD sum rules. In conventional QCD sum rules, the calculated masses of this nonet are degenerate, and the mass of $K^{\ast}_{0}$ is always larger than the $a_{0}$ in contradiction with the observed spectrum. After improving the correlation function by including instanton effects, the masses are well separated from each other. In particular, our results shows glueball content plays an important role in the underlying structure of $f_{0}(1500)$. The decay constants are also discussed.
A New Approach to the Calculation of Some Properties of Vacuum and $\pi$ and $\sigma$ Mesons

Abstract: It is shown in a systematic way that the instanton dilute model can be combined with the global colour symmetry model to form a new nonperturbative QCD model. Based on the quark propagator derived in the instanton dilute liquid approximation, the quark condensate $<\bar{q}q>$, the mixed quark gluon condensate $g_{s}<\bar{q}G_{\mu\nu}\sigma^{\mu\nu}q>$, the four quark condensate $<|bar{q}\Gamma q\bar{q}\Gamma q>$ and tensor, pion vacuum susceptibilities have been calculated at the mean field level in the framework of the new nonperturbative QCD model. The numerical results are compatible with the values obtained within other nonperturbative approaches. The calculated masses and decay constants of $\pi$ and $\sigma$ mesons are also close to the experimental values.
Constraint on the Light Quark Mass M(Q) from Qcd Sum Rules in the I=0 Scalar Channel

Abstract:In this paper, we reanalyze the I = 0 scalar channel with the improved Monte-Carlo-based QCD sum rules, which combines the rigorous Holder-inequality-determined sum rule window and a parametrization with two-Breit-Wigner-type resonances for the phenomenological spectral density that satisfies the low-energy theorem for the scalar form factor. Considering the uncertainties of the QCD parameters and the experimental masses and widths of the scalar resonances sigma and f(0)(980), we obtain a prediction for light quark mass m(q) (2 GeV) = 1/2 (m(u)(2 GeV) + m(d)(2 GeV)) = 4.7(-0.7)(+0.8) MeV, which is consistent with the Particle Data Group value and QCD sum rule determinations in the pseudoscalar channel. This agreement provides a consistent framework connecting QCD sum rules and low-energy hadronic physics. We also obtain the decay constants of sigma and f(0)(980) at 2 GeV, which are approximately 0.64-0.83 and 0.40-0.48 GeV, respectively.

Abstract:Based on a modification of theaglobal color symmetry model, we have calculated the four-quark condensate beyond vacuum saturation approximation by including the contribution of and mesons. The numerical results show that there is a sizeable correction of the four-quark condensate in comparison with its factorized value using the vacu urn saturation approximation.

Abstract:A modified method for calculating the nonperturbative quark vacuum condensates from the global color symmetry model is derived. Within this approach it is shown that the vacuum condensates are free of ultraviolet divergence which is different from previous studies. As special cases, the two-quark condensate <(q) over barq> and the mixed quark-gluon condensate g<(q) over barG(munu)sigma(munu)q> are calculated. A comparison with the results of other nonperturbative QCD approaches is given.

Abstract:. A calculation of the current-quark mass dependence of hadron masses can help in using observational data to place constraints on the variation of nature’s fundamental parameters. A hadron’s σ-term is a measure of this dependence. The connection between a hadron’s σ-term and the Feynman-Hellmann theorem is illustrated with an explicit calculation for the pion using a rainbow-ladder truncation of the Dyson-Schwinger equations: in the vicinity of the chiral limit σ π = m π /2. This truncation also provides a decent estimate of σ ρ because the two dominant self-energy corrections to the ρ-meson’s mass largely cancel in their contribution to σ ρ . The truncation is less accurate for the ω, however, because there is little to compete with an ω → ρπ self-energy contribution that magnifies the value of σ ω by ≲25%. A Poincaré-covariant Faddeev equation, which describes baryons as composites of confined-quarks and -nonpointlike-diquarks, is solved to obtain the current-quark mass dependence of the masses of the nucleon and Δ, and thereby σ N and σ Δ . This “quark-core” piece is augmented by the “pion cloud” contribution, which is positive. The analysis yields σ N ≃ 60 MeV and σ Δ ≃ 50 MeV.
Di-Gluonium Sum Rules, I = 0 Scalar Mesons and Conformal Anomaly

Abstract:We revisit, scrutinize, improve, confirm and complete our previous results [1-3] from the scalar di-gluonium sum rules within the standard SVZ-expansion at N2LO without instantons and beyond the minimal duality ansatz : "one resonance + QCD continuum" parametrization of the spectral function which is necessary for a better understanding of the complex spectra of the $I=0$ scalar mesons. We select different (un)subtracted sum rules (USR) moments of degree $\leq$ 4 for extracting the two lowest gluonia masses and couplings. We obtain: $[M_{\sigma_B},f_{\sigma_B}]=[1.07(13),0.46(16)],~[M_{G_1},f_{G_1}][1.55(12),0.37(11)]$ GeV and the corresponding masses of the radial excitations : $M_{\sigma'_B}$= 1.11(12) and $M_{G'_1}=1.56(14)$ GeV which are (unexpectedly) almost degenerated with the ground states. The 2nd radial excitation is found to have a much heavier mass: $M_{G_2}\simeq$ 2.99(22) GeV. Combining these results with some Low-Energy Vertex Sum Rules (LEV-SR), we predict some hadronic widths and classify them into two groups : -- The $\sigma$-like ($\sigma_B,\sigma'_B$) which decay copiously to $\pi\pi$ from OZI-violating process and the $\sigma'_B$ to $2(\pi\pi)S$ through $\sigma\sigma$. -- The $G$-like $(G_1,~G'_1$ and eventually $G_2$) which decay into $\eta'\eta, ~\eta\eta$ through the $U(1)_A$ gluonic vertex. Besides some eventual mixings with quarkonia states, we may expect that the observed $\sigma/f_0(500)$ and $f_0(137)$ are $\sigma$-like while the $f_0(1.5)$ and $f_0(1.7)$ are $G$-like gluonia. The high mass $G_2(2.99)$ can also mix with the $G_1,~G'_1$ to bring the gluon component of the gluonia candidates above 2 GeV. We also estimate the conformal charge $\psi_G(0)=2.09(29)$ GeV$^4$ and its slope $10^2\psi'_G(0)=-22(29)$ GeV$^2$. Our results are summarized in Table 1.

Analysis of the $Σ-n $ form factors with light-cone QCD sum rules

Abstract:In this work, we study the four form-factors $f_1(Q^2)$, $f_2(Q^2)$, $g_1(Q^2)$ and $g_2(Q^2)$ of the $\Sigma \to n$ in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules approach up to twist-6 three valence quark light-cone distribution amplitudes. The $f_1(0)$ is the basic input parameter in extracting the CKM matrix element $|V_{us}|$ from the hyperon decays. The four form-factors $f_1(Q^2)$, $f_2(Q^2)$, $g_1(Q^2)$ and $g_2(Q^2)$ at intermediate and large momentum transfers with $Q^2> 3 GeV^2$ have significant contributions from the end-point (soft) terms. The numerical values of the four form-factors $f_1(0)$, $f_2(0)$, $g_1(0)$ and $g_2(0)$ are compatible with the experimental data and theoretical calculations (in magnitude); although the uncertainties are large.

Space-like Electromagnetic Form Factors of Lambda- and Sigma-Baryons from Quark-Diquark Faddeev Equations

Abstract:An important goal of ongoing and future experiments is to explore spectra and transition form factors of baryons with non-zero strangeness. Of particular interest is the transition form factor$\gamma^{(*)} \Sigma^0 \rightarrow \Lambda$ in the time-like momentum region that can be extracted from Dalitz decays. On the road towards a theoretical description of these form factors we extend a covariant dynamical quark-diquark model for the baryon Faddeev equation to the strange-quark sector. Based on an excellent description of the mass spectrum of selected baryon octet and decuplet states and reasonable results for the nucleon form factors we determine the elastic electromagnetic form factors of $\Lambda$ and $\Sigma^+, \Sigma^0, \Sigma^-$ hyperons in the space-like region as well as the ones for the octet transition $\gamma^{(*)} \Sigma^0 \rightarrow \Lambda$. We discuss qualitative and quantitative features of the diquark-quark picture and compare systematically with previous results from a three-body Faddeev approach and lattice data where available.

QCD parameters and $f_{B_c}$ from heavy quark sum rules

Abstract:We report results of our recent works [1,2] where we where the correlations between the c,b-quark running masses{m}_{c,b}, the gluon condensate<\alpha_s G^2> and the QCD coupling \alpha_s in the MS-scheme from an analysis of the charmonium and bottomium spectra and the B_c-meson mass. We use optimized ratios of relativistic Laplace sum rules (LSR) evaluated at the \mu-subtraction stability point where higher orders PT and D< 6-8-dimensions non-perturbative condensates corrections are included. We obtain [1] \alpha_s(2.85)=0.262(9) and \alpha_s(9.50)=0.180(8) from the (pseudo)scalar M_{\chi_{0c(0b)}}-M_{\eta_{c(b)}} mass-splittings at \mu=2.85(9.50) GeV. The most precise result from the charm channel leads to \alpha_s(M_\tau)=0.318(15) and \alpha_s(M_Z)=0.1183(19)(3) in excellent agreement with the world average: \alpha_s(M_Z)=0.1181(11)[3,4]. Updated results from a global fit of the (axial-)vector and (pseudo)scalar channels using Laplace and Moments sum rules @ N2LO [1] combined with the one from M_{B_c} [2] lead to the new tentative QCD spectral sum rules (QSSR) average : m_c(m_c)|_average= 1266(6) MeV and m_b(m_b)|_average=4196(8) MeV. The values of the gluon condensate <\alpha_s G^2> from the (axial)-vector charmonium channels combined with previous determinations in Table 1, leads to the new QSSR average [1]: <\alpha_s G^2>_average=(6.35\pm 0.35)x 10^{-2} GeV^4. Our results clarify the (apparent) discrepancies between different estimates of <\alpha_s G^2> from J/\psi sum rule but also shows the sensitivity of the sum rules on the choice of the \mu-subtraction scale. As a biproduct, we deduce the B_c-decay constants f_{B_c}=371(17) MeV and f_{B_c}(2S)< 139(6) MeV.

Qcd Sum Rule Treatment of the Lightest I=0 Scalar Resonance

Abstract:A QCD Laplace sum rule framework is employed to investigate the relationship between the mass and the decay width of the sigma [f(0)(400-1200], defined here to be the lowest lying isoscalar resonance in the scalar channel. Our analysis differs from prior analyses, not only by incorporating Breit-Wigner departures from the narrow resonance approximation, but also by including direct single-instanton contributions as well as three-loop-order perturbative contributions to the scalar current correlation function. The least upper bound we obtain for the mass of this state is shown to increase with its decay width. Our results indicate that a sigma with a mass of order 600-700 MeV should have a total width substantially smaller than its mass.
Charm physics with overlap fermions on 2+1-flavor domain wall fermion configurations

Abstract:Decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons $D$, $D_s$, $\eta_c$ and vector mesons $D^*$, $D_s^*$, $J/\psi$ are determined from $N_f=2+1$ lattice QCD at a lattice spacing $a\sim0.08$ fm. For vector mesons, the decay constants defined by tensor currents are given in the $\overline{\rm MS}$ scheme at $2$ GeV. The calculation is performed on domain wall fermion configurations generated by the RBC-UKQCD Collaborations and the overlap fermion action is used for the valence quarks. Comparing the current results with our previous ones at a coarser lattice spacing $a\sim0.11$ fm gives us a better understanding of the discretization error. We obtain $f_{D_s^*}^T(\overline{\rm MS},\text{2 GeV})/f_{D_s^*}=0.907(20)$ with a better precision than our previous result. Combining our $f_{D_s^*}=277(11)$ MeV with the total width of $D_s^*$ determined in a recent work gives a branching fraction $4.26(52)\times10^{-5}$ for $D_s^*$ leptonic decay.

Comparing the data, our results show the preference of ${f}_{0}(1500)$ as a member of the ground state of scalar $\overline{q}q$ nonet. Similar results can also apply to ${f}_{0}(1370)$ and ${f}_{0}(1710)$, if these mesons are dominated by the quarkonium content. With more experimental data in the future, these studies will help us understand the intrinsic characters of these scalar mesons.

Some Decay Modes of the 1(-+) Hybrid Meson in Qcd Sum Rules Reexamined

Abstract:The pionic coupling constants in the decays of the 1(-+) hybrid meson are calculated. The double Borel transformation is invoked and the continuum contribution is subtracted. The decay widths of the processes 1(-+) --> rho pi, f(1)pi, pi gamma are around 40, 100, 0.3 MeV, respectively. A comparison is made with previous calculations using three-point correlation functions. [S0556-2821(99)03121-5].

Abstract:The method of QCD sum rules in the presence of the external electromagnetic F-mu upsilon field is used to calculate the Omega magnetic moment mu(Omega) and the Sigma(0) Lambda transition magnetic moment mu(Sigma 0 Lambda), with the susceptibilities obtained previously from the study of octet baryon magnetic moments. The results mu(Omega) = -1.92 mu(N) and mu(Sigma 0 Lambda) = 1.5 mu(N) are in good agreement with the recent experimental data.
