Abstract:The crystal of the title compound diethyl (4, 6-diamino-1,3, 5-triazine-2-yl) phosphonate, (C14H28N10O6P2, M-r=494.40), has been prepared and determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction, The crystal belongs to the triclinic system, space group P (1) over bar with parameters, a=8.398(1), b=10.206(1), c=14.538(2) Angstrom, alpha=75.221 (3), beta=85.965(3), gamma=81.746(3)degrees, V=1191. 6(3) Angstrom(3), S=1.028, Z=2, D-c=1.378Mg/m(3), mu=0.233mm(-1), F(000)=520, lambda(MoK alpha)=0.71073 Angstrom, T=293 (2) K, final R=0.071 and wR=0.1953 for 4177 independent reflections with I greater than or equal to 2 sigma (I). In the title compound, each molecule is linked to five neighbour molecules by hydrogen bonds forming layers perpendicular to the a axis and molecules in each layer are linked by a two-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds in the be plane.
