Literature Review of Foreign Researches on Corruption in Contemporary China （ 1980 - 2010）

Abstract:Along with economic transition, the political corruption problem gets increasingly important in China. This article is a literature review of foreign scholars＇ study on the phenomenon. Their researches focus on one core question： why does the supervision fail？ And two theories emerged out of the contention around this question： the theory of auto-corruption of state ; and the theory of market-transitlon incentive corruption. This literature review is done in the conceptual framework of the two theories.
