Abstract:[In the early 1990s, China's family planning program came under review with advanced reforms, economic growth, social transformation, and the rise of the market economy. China's family planning program, spanning three decades since its inception, has traversed two phases. The first, the "pre-reform" stage, lasted from the early 1970s to 1995. The second phase, from 1995 onwards, has been one of evolutionary reforms. This paper provides an overview of the background to the reform, the main achievements of the pilot project, the scaling up of the best practices, and the challenges facing China today. In early 1995, the State Family Planning Commission (SFPC) selected five counties and one urban district as the first group of pilots to experiment with the "quality of care (QoC) approach in family planning" and "two reorientations".Keywords:China's family planning program; State Family Planning Commission (SFPC), A widely accepted theory in the field of health education is that health behavior formation usually requires three stages: cognition, belief and practice or behavior (C-B-P/B). In recent years, young people's reproductive health in China has made significant progress and achievements. China is the cradle of Confucianism and is deeply influenced by Confucian doctrine. In traditional China, physical contact was heavily discouraged between men and women. Men and women were not allowed to spend time alone, shake hands or even hug each other. Premarital sex was regarded as destroying the moral fibers of society. During the past 30 years of accumulated exploration and experience, substantial progress has been made in the field of young people's sexual and reproductive health (SRH) in China.
