Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to make an introduction to univalent function theory for readers of any level, assuming only foundational knowledge in real and complex analysis. In particular, we state and proof (with details) important theorems utilised in proving Bieberbach's conjecture, especially those that were missed or merely sketched by other texts on univalent functions. We will finally prove the conjecture following the proof given by Lenard Weinstein in a comprehensive and self-contained manners, exposing its full technical details in each step. Readers are encouraged to make used of this paper to accompany the preliminary chapters of Duren's Univalent Functions and Lenard Weinstein's the Bieberbach Conjecture.

Abstract:We investigate two constructive approaches to defining quasi-compact and quasi-separated schemes (qcqs-schemes), namely qcqs-schemes as locally ringed lattices and as functors from rings to sets. We work in Homotopy Type Theory and Univalent Foundations, but reason informally. The main result is a constructive and univalent proof that the two definitions coincide, giving an equivalence between the respective categories of qcqs-schemes.

Abstract:Tomita-Takesaki theory associates a positive operator called the "modular operator" with a von Neumann algebra and a cyclic-separating vector. Tomita's theorem says that the unitary flow generated by the modular operator leaves the algebra invariant. I give a new, short proof of this theorem which only uses the analytic structure of unitary flows, and which avoids operator-valued Fourier transforms (as in van Daele's proof) and operator-valued Mellin transforms (as in Zsidó's and Woronowicz's proofs). The proof is similar to one given by Bratteli and Robinson in the special case that the modular operator is bounded.

Abstract:We prove a conjecture of Pappas and Rapoport about the existence of ''canonical'' integral models of Shimura varieties of Hodge type with quasi-parahoric level structure at a prime $p$. For these integral models, we moreover show uniformization of isogeny classes by integral local Shimura varieties, and prove a conjecture of Kisin and Pappas on local model diagrams.

Abstract:We abstract and generalize homotopical monadicity statements, placing in a single conceptual framework a range of old and recent recognition and characterization principles in iterated loop space theory in classical, equivariant, and multiplicative frameworks. Some of the examples are new and some are old, but all are illuminated by the coherent framework, which we feel certain will encompass examples not yet thought of.

Abstract:Journal of Mathematical Logic, Ahead of Print. We initiate the study of a generalization of Kim-independence, Conant-independence, based on the notion of strong Kim-dividing of Kaplan, Ramsey and Shelah. A version of Conant-independence was originally introduced to prove that all [math] theories are [math]. We introduce an axiom on stationary independence relations, essentially generalizing the "freedom" axiom in some of the free amalgamation theories of Conant, and show that this axiom provides the correct setting for carrying out arguments of Chernikov, Kaplan and Ramsey on [math] theories relative to a stationary independence relation. Generalizing Conant's results on free amalgamation to the limits of our knowledge of the [math] hierarchy, we show using methods from Conant as well as our previous work that any theory where the equivalent conditions of this local variant of [math] holds is either [math] or [math] and is either simple or [math]. We observe that these theories give an interesting class of examples of theories where Conant-independence is symmetric. This includes all of Conant's examples, the small cycle-free random graphs of Shelah, and the (finite-language) [math]-categorical Hrushovski constructions of Evans and Wong. We then answer Conant's question on the existence of non-modular free amalgamation theories. We show that the generic functional structures of Kruckman and Ramsey are examples of non-modular free amalgamation theories. We also show that any free amalgamation theory is [math] or [math], while an [math] free amalgamation theory is simple if and only if it is modular. Finally, we show that every theory where Conant-independence is symmetric is [math]. Therefore, symmetry for Conant-independence gives the next known neostability-theoretic dividing line on the [math] hierarchy beyond [math]. We explain the connection to some established open questions.

Abstract:Stable infiniteness, strong finite witnessability, and smoothness are model-theoretic properties relevant to theory combination in satisfiability modulo theories. Theories that are strongly finitely witnessable and smooth are called strongly polite and can be effectively combined with other theories. Toledo, Zohar, and Barrett conjectured that stably infinite and strongly finitely witnessable theories are smooth and therefore strongly polite. They called counterexamples to this conjecture unicorn theories, as their existence seemed unlikely. We prove that, indeed, unicorns do not exist. We also prove versions of the Löwenheim-Skolem theorem and the Łoś-Vaught test for many-sorted logic.

Abstract:Bi-univalent functions associated with the leaf-like domain within open unit disks are investigated, and a new subclass is introduced and studied in the research presented here. This is achieved by applying the subordination principle for analytic functions in conjunction with q-calculus. The class is proved to not be empty. By proving its existence, generalizations can be given to other sets of functions. In addition, coefficient bounds are examined with a particular focus on |α2| and |α3| coefficients, and Fekete–Szegö inequalities are estimated for the functions in this new class. To support the conclusions, previous works are cited for confirmation.

Abstract:We sketch recent interactions between model theory and a roughly 150-year old study of analytic functions involving complex analysis, algebraic topology, and number theory, centered in canonicity of universal covers. Towards this goal we discuss in a systematic and unified way several examples indicating the main ideas of the proofs and the necessary changes in method for different situations: exponential covers, modular and Shimura curves, Shimura and abelian varieties, and coherent families of smooth covers.

Abstract:In this note, we present a conjecture on intersections of set families, and a rephrasing of the conjecture in terms of principal downsets of Boolean lattices. The conjecture informally states that, whenever we can express the measure of a union of sets in terms of the measure of some of their intersections using the inclusion-exclusion formula, then we can express the union as a set from these same intersections via the set operations of disjoint union and subset complement. We also present a partial result towards establishing the conjecture.

Abstract:The LU-LC conjecture is an important open problem concerning the structure of entan-glement of states described in the stabilizer formalism. It states that two local unitaryequivalent stabilizer states are also local Clifford equivalent. If this conjecture were true,the local equivalence of stabilizer states would be extremely easy to characterize. Un-fortunately, however, based on the recent progress made by Gross and Van den Nest, wefind that the conjecture is false.

Abstract:Biunivalent holomorphic functions form an interesting class in geometric function theory and are connected with special functions and solutions of complex differential equations. The paper reveals a deep connection between biunivalence and geometry of Teichmuller balls and provides some sufficient conditions for biunivalence of holomorphic functions on the disk. Among the consequences, one obtains new sharp distortion theorems for univalent functions with quasiconformal extension.
