Abstract:Objective To evaluate treatment outcome of mitek bone anchor and wire lock for reconstruction of central slip avulsions.Methods Total 18 fingers were received mitek bone anchor treatment(anchor group)and 20 fingers wire lock treatment(wire lock group).curative effect evaluated by Dargan functional assessment after operation.Re-sults Over a 2 ~ 6years period follow-up,the fingers function in anchor group excellent 16,good 2;the fingers function in wire lock group excellent 10,good 4,general 4 and bad 2.Conclusions Reconstruction of central slip insertion using mitek bone anchor is a safter and move secure procedure than traditional wire lock.
