Analysis of Chinese Herbal Medicines Used in Our Hospital During the Period 2002～2005

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:To investigate the application status quo and the tendency of Chinese herbal medicines in cancer hospital.METHODS:The top 40 Chinese herbal medicines used in our hospital between 2002 and 2005 were analyzed statistically regarding the annual consumption volume,consumption sum and DDDs.RESULTS:During the four years,the annual consumption volume and consumption sum of top 40 Chinese herbal medicines increased year by year,of which,Shenghuangqi and Baihuasheshecao ranked at the first and the second in terms of annual consumption volume.33 drugs remained at the top 40 places in terms of DDDs,of which,Baizhu,Chenpi,Fuling had steadily dominated the top 3 places.CONCLUSION:The consumption sum and consumption volume of Chinese herbal medicines increased year by year in our hospital,dominated the list were such categories that can invigorate vital energy and tonify blood,clear heat and detoxicate,promote blood circulation and relieve blood stasis,soften hard lumps and dispel nodes.
