Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the risk factors for nosocomial infections in outpatient department and put for-ward the control countermeasures so as to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections .METHODS From Jan 2012 to Dec 2013 ,a retrospective survey was conducted for the cleaning of environment of outpatient department ,hand hygiene ,ventilation ,diagnosis and treatment in a three A general hospital ;the control measures of nosocomial in-fections were compared before and after the new outpatient building was launched ,the risk factors for the nosoco-mial infections were explored ,and the control countermeasures were put forward .RESULTS The incidence of the infectious diseases that transmitted through conduct has been reduced through the environmental cleaning and hand hygiene ,the incidence of infectious diseases that transmitted through air has been reduced through ventilation , preview ,and triage .After the new outpatient building was launched ,the environmental hardware condition has been significantly improved .Through the enhancement of the control of nosocomial infections ,the satisfaction with the environmental hygiene increased from 80 .17% to 93 .22% ,the compliance of hand hygiene of the medical staff increased from 11 .65% to 82 .85% .The implementation of the preview and triage system and the optimiza-tion of diagnosis procedure decreased the accumulation and mobility of the patients and reduce the risk of nosoco-mial infections .CONCLUSION On the basis of improvement of hardware condition of the hospital ,it is an effective way to improve the cleaning quality through management strategies and the compliance of hand hygiene ,optimize the diagnosis procedure ,and conduct the health education and propaganda so as to control the nosocomial infec-tions in the outpatient department .
