Effect of Training of Related Knowledge about Nosocomial Infections of Health Supervisors in Dental Clinic

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand current situation of understanding of knowledge about the management of hospital infections of the health supervision staff in dental clinic and analyze the training effect so as to improve the training approach and the supervision of heath supervisors.METHODS By means of the knowledge questionnaires,totally 60 health supervision staff,who engaged the daily prevention of infectious diseases,were randomly selected from 16 districts of Beijing(including Yanshan).RESULTS Before the training,the correct answer rate of questions about hospital infections in dental clinic was 53.83%,78.78% after the training,significantly increased as compared with that before the training,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=8.36,P0.01).The health supervision staff's awareness was improved through the training,the awareness rates of knowledge about the clinic layout and the environment and oral disinfection were respectively 70.56% and70.00% before the training,reaching up to 96.94% and 93.15% after the training;however,the awareness rates of the monitoring of sterilization of dental instruments and the management of sterilization articles were relatively low,which were only 67.08% and 58.10%,respectively.CONCLUSION To innovate the training method,adopt the theory combined with practice training mode,use the study methods as the visit,experience exchange,and supervision mode study,and consummate the guideline of supervision management is useful to establish long-term mechanism of oral infection management and supervision.
