Abstract:This article is an evaluation of Modern Architecture Since 1900 by William Curtis in the context of the historiography of modern architecture with regard to the development of modern Chinese architecture.It is finally argued that,without critical points of view,one might easily confuse pluralism with relativism.Given the condition of the present development in China,this must hold true in architectural as well as social terms.
